Aw, I am sorrry about your holiday, Dandy. I know exactly what you mean, sometimes I have to cut a few hours trip out short due to anxiety. Not that I really go out, my anxiety becomes so bad that it triggers psychosis and delusions so I stay in my flat most of the time where I feel safe.
I don't tend to talk to my partner (known here as WaSp) in detail about my anxiety and mental health issues because although he is wonderful just like your DH he immediately wants to fix me and gets upset when he can't. He is very aware of it though because we have been together for 26 years. So I speak lots about it here instead.
You can talk about how you are feeling here as much as you want, usually someone is here and I am often around during the night due to a wrecked sleep pattern and anxiety when its quiet and dark. You are among friends here, this is a very safe place.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Morning Shipmates,
Hugs and squishes and handshakes for all.
last night I could not get to sleep so at 11pm came down and tided up and washed the floor down in the back room. I could do it as lodger was away for the weekend :j
I am going to penguin this as its about families and dads
I have just allowed my dad to upset me and not sure why. he is such a selfish pig. I rang to talk to my mum and then he said she is making me a coffee can't disturb her. I said you know what I would say make your own. his reply I don't go out work to come home and make my own meals etc. I said I did it. That was your choice. I never said this out loud but I was like pardon? I choose to have a disabled husband did I. I said you never understood my situation his reply was oh and your mine. really I basically grew up with my dad never being there!!!! I said you think you are funny. He said no. I said fine I will call back later and ended the call.
I always felt my dad never really cared about me. Even when I had disabled husband did I get any help? nope. Wonder why I have issues. Girls were and are second class in my family. There to be wife and mothers and carers. To be put upon and stay home and never go out and have a life.
My poor mum she has had to put up with it for the last 48 years. My dad confessed a few things to my husband when we went on holiday a few years ago. My husband told me. My dad does not know I know. That made me think less of him. And then in the last few years the possibility of an affair by him.
He always thinks he is right. Well I do what my mum said about fathers day sod him. Not bothering.
Penguin end
Right not going to let that ruin my day. Onwards and upwards.
Everyone take care.
Yours

Hi again all
Thanks WaS, I went down to watch a bit of telly after my last post - I find it can distract me for a while which helps!
I'm having a staying indoors day today. If I had more energy I would bake something or do a bit more knitting, but right now a big blanket and a book sounds more appealing.
What has everyone else got planned for today?0 -
Calleyw I went to the start of this thread to learn how to read a penguin. I just want to send you a *big hug*0

Today I am going to have to tackle my kitchen as I've run out of clean everything.
Strim the lawn as it's too bad for the mower to get through.
Do the ironing pile as I've run out of clothes.
(So much for my post holiday stop being so disorganised plans.)
Practice with Gitdog for tomorrow's show so he doesn't run off and eat a small child.
I'm knackered just looking at my list. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I'm currently watching the tennis. Wet again here so staying in.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I am just one of those people who is disorganised. They would not believe me when I temped as they thought I was. I might be if you are paying me to but other wise forget it LOL!!!!
I have to say that has made my day today about git dog and made me laugh.
Power just went out for about mins. Guess how I knew. My internet stopped working  now that is serious :rotfl:

Am feeling so hormonal today  and then
D's brother who we see once in a blue moon phoned before and said him and his wife were calling round to drop my birthday card off, and I really am not in the mood for visitors today. I feel like I haven't stopped all day (I literally haven't apart from a quick bite to eat) because I've been sorting stuff out for charity shop/rubbish and sell, and when I say loads of stuff, I mean loads! Things don't mean the same to me anymore and so I find throwing things/giving things away much easier than I used to.
Anyhow, back to the BIL, he phones and says will I be in (the answer is yes), and I answer no I'm going out, whilst thinking 'just put it through the letter box'! He said they'd come round earlier instead then. I know that sounds ungrateful, but like I say, I'm just not in the mood, i don't usually mind visitors, but i just don't feel 100% and I have a pain in my side when I bend over, and am just generally feeling flustered and weepy today.
D came back home and I just broke down crying, and it usually wouldn't bother me, but I'm just in pain and burning up, and the last thing I want is them coming round. So D has gone round to theirs as he needed to anyhow to drop an airport lounge card off, and to pick up my card.
I hope anyone doesn't take this the wrong way, but he said he thought I was going to do an Arthur Fowler on him when I was ranting and crying!:rotfl:
Does anyone have chocolate? Me need chocolate!(PS, maybe some cider too!
