I think I'll save it (BB) up for when I next have an operation and am stuck on the sofa for a while :rotfl:.
I tend to knit when I watch TV so I can convince myself it's useful lol. Although, during the week I probably watch about an hour of TV altogether (if that, am out of the house most of the time), so it does sometimes feel like a bit of a treat to just veg out and watch 3 or 4 episodes of something.
Last weekend I watched the first episode of The Secret that I'd recorded a month or so ago. Accidentally watched all 4 eps in one sitting!Although it was on ITV and had a LOT of ad breaks so was probably only (!) about 3hrs or so in total.

I haven't watched Breaking bad either. Last series I (re)watched all the way through was Battlestar Galactica, which was just as fabulous as when it was first broadcast. Before that, Firefly, I think. I've got Twin peaks on DVD which need to get around to, it must be getting on for 25 years since I saw that.

Twin Peaks reminds me of being at school, of watching it round my mate's house and being too scared to walk home! :rotfl:
Enjoy your week off ono. Is this your Italian friend?

You're deffo not the last person, Tea!
'Cos I only have Freeview!
I deliberately don't have Sky or Cable because I don't even get through the stuff I record from Freeview, often ending up deleting progs without watching them, so there's no way I need yet more choice! Plus, I wouldn't use half the stuff that comes with the packages, so it would be a waste of money, really.
However, that means I have only seen series 1 of Game of Thrones.
Suppose I'll have to buy a boxed set.(I just lurve spiders!)

I've never binge watched anything - I tend more towards binge reading.
Having said that, Gitdog does appear to have some sort of ethical objection to people sitting there doing nothing. Working from home, he's fine all day. Sit in a comfy chair to read or watch TV and after an hour he's in full on harrassment mode.

I don't think I can penguin a picture, so I will leave a big space before it. But this actually helped to cheer me up a bit because it felt as if others were supporting my (fairly non-contentious I think) view...... I hope it helps others as well.
Brilliant, JM! :rotfl:::rotfl:

Kennet and Avon canal?
Wells Cathedral and Bishop's Palace?
Cheddar Gorge?

. Is this your Italian friend?
She messaged me earlier to say she has some ideas for sightseeing, though not where. Probably places I haven't been as I never go to any of the local sights
Been years since I've even been to Bath and that's less than 20 miles away!

Hey everyone!
I am tired! My darling but completely mad mother decided to get up this morning at 5:15am, which may just about be a new record for her. It was gone 2am when she went to bed!
Anyhoo, I was fortunately able to convince her that 5:15am was just far too bonkers a time to be getting up and she went back to bed. Unfortunately, it was gone 7am by the time I was able to get back to sleep myself and I was awake again just before 10am so feeling a bit fuzzy headed today. On the plus side I do have some double choccy mochas that I can enjoy later... caffeine and chocolate!
So maybe it's the lack of sleep that's making me feel like someone who has had a few too many shandies but just wanted to thank everyone on the thread for being so nice the other day about everything. Can't say I don't still have many, many worries about things but I don't know, maybe it's cos I ranted like a loony that I managed to clear my head enough to actually focus on something. It's a silly thing really but finally building that silly website and getting everything set up on there has given me a sense of accomplishment I've not really felt in a while and I doubt if the panic was still wrapping it's tendrils around my brain I'd have managed to do that.
And the good news is E is over her bout of illness and will be coming around tomorrow. Missed her this week. We kept in touch of course but wasn't quite the same so I have that to look forward to.
So yes, thanks everyone. I'd treat you all to double choccy mochas if you were here, but since you're not, you'll have to imagine them... unless you don't like them, in which case, I dunno... cup of tea?She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?0 -
I do reccomend Breaking Bad.. it's so good!! I haven't watched Prison Break, I did try a couple of episodes years ago but didn't get into it so I migt revisit it again. The zombie thing sounds good too.. I watched "The Path" recently, it has Jessie from BB as the main charcter.. it was really good, it's about a cult, I think there's a 2nd series too in the pipeline.
I loved Twin Peaks!! it's dark but really good, but def has a theme of SA which was hard to watch at times.. David Lynch nails nightmarish movies! They are making another series of Twin Peaks, I'm interested to see what it is about. Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0
