D has the moves app, and tbh it's that temperamental (sometimes records steps, sometimes not) so he does really bother with it tbh.

I'm going to have to start using Strava now they've disconnected MMW.

On the plus side, when I parked up to go in a shop, I got 20 points as it is near the Sports Centre lol! So that's two gyms I "visit" in town now! :rotfl:

I use the Moves app Izzy. It's not great is it? You can reset the transport thing by pressing on it and changing it but it's a PITA. There is no other step count app for android atm so you're pretty much stuck with it unless you want to invest in a fitbit.

I also use it in conjunction with runkeeper - so instead of logging 2 activities(14,000 steps) I can log 5 (14000 steps and 3x 20 minute walks).

    Hth.

Also, I've had £20 of vouchers so can't complain too much.

Had a work lunch thing today which was torture for me as I hardly knew anyone in the room and kept getting left out of conversations. It's things like that which remind me that I like dogs more than people :rotfl:
    Tell me about it. :(

I've been waiting since before Christmas to do something at AmDram with a particular person. Didn't want to hassle them for various reasons.
Got an email today to say they're doing it with someone else. :(
Have got to get my house straight so that I can get another dog. Am really disliking folk at the moment.

    Thank you.

I haven't bothered upgrading to the premium version (I'm too much of a couch potato for it to be worth it) so I'll just stick with Moves and try to ignore the fact that I know I've walked more than it says I have, be grateful that it sometimes checks me into a gym I pass on the way to the station and I might end up with some kind of reward in about 3 years :D

I agree, faerie put it very eloquently, you need to grieve for your father-relationship and father-icon.

Also very sad about Sally Brampton (absolutely nothing to do with you, WaS - you are NOT responsible. Not even a little bit.) but wondering if we should celebrate the fact that she gave her personal black dog such a good run (60 years old) and really challenged depression and raised awareness so beautifully. I think that's what she would like us to do.

Ugh Pyxis that's utterly crap. What's the matter with people. You should definitely get a dog - they're always happy to see you!

Just realised my post to fly earlier didn't actually show up.

Anyway just wanted to say sorry about your dad - even if he wasn't a very nice person, he was still your father and you're probably grieving for the relationship that you might have had if he'd been different, rather than him iyswim? Did Mr Fly maybe think you weren't that bothered?

If I'd actually done my steps and activities every day (instead of being lazy :p ), then I'd have probably earned that much too. I'm well on my way to another £5 one. Hoping they'll get more stock of vouchers in soon.

There's your aim! The sooner you start the sooner you'll get it finished, and the sooner you'll get your new little woof! Would you get one from a shelter? :) I'm excited for you! :D
