. (self built with i7-2600K, not overclocked, and a GTX760 - the previous graphics card died which is why I have a not massively out of date one). It might not fare so well at maximum resolution now I have a "4k" screen for the main display rather than 1680x1050 though.
Aww, shame you got motion sickness in Skyrim!Oddly, only time I have motion sickness in a game is WoW, and it's with raptor mounts (they're too "bouncy"). Skyrim's a really well-optimised game overall. I can even get it running on the laptop with some custom graphics packs, not that I really bother playing it on the laptop.
My GPU is an R9 290X, which is nice and all though due to AMD's insanity, is designed to get quite hot. Actually did my regular de-dusting yesterday afternoon which has knocked it's temps down quite a bit... and made my shoulder achey cos this PC weighs a tonne. I'm still playing with 1080p monitors.
I tell people that the LEDs are so that I can easily tell if a fan has stopped working, but that's a fib. I just like glowy things. Even my laptop pad has some glowing fans on it (blue ones). And my keyboard glows. And my mouse... I may have a problem.
Anyhoo, nerdy talk aside, hope everyone is okay.
I'm sorry to hear about your father, Fly. I imagine there's a lot of mixed emotions for you at present. I think what faerielight says is very true. She would always like to say,

Hey, he was meant to be my husband when he was Scott in Neighbours.

I feel like I'm missing out, as I didn't have a crush on anybody in Neighbours! (don't think it started until I was about 16 anyway). My celebrity crush from my early teenage years was Kate Bush

Great news Mellymoo.
Just read a book I think would be enjoyed by those who like puzzles, codes, mathematical mysteries and cryptography.
