I try quite hard to avoid gettting tanned, as I've never regarded it as a good thing - never understood why people want to look tanned (but as I've often said, I'm odd and don't "get" some things which everyone else seems to).
Me too, Ono! I tan very easily but I don't like it. Besides which, tanning precipitates wrinkles later in life, as well as the risk of melanoma etc.
I put a high-factor cream on, and wear a sunhat, and sit in the shade! Apart from the tanning, I don't like the sun shining in my eyes, and if I sit in the sun I get far too hot.
I love red/ginger hair! I think it's absolutely beautiful! To see someone with a swathe of copper-coloured hair........ooooh! Lovely! If it's a child, I always go and tell them what beautiful hair they have!(I just lurve spiders!)

I got in a lift in a shopping centre the other week and there was a toddler in there with the most amazing ginger hair. He was an absolute stunner
Every single person that got in the lift commented on how beautiful his hair was - it must take his mum ages to get anywhere! He really was gorgeous though.

Ugh. Trying to get an appointment with my GP is no fun. Been trying since 8 and all I get is a busy signal.
My mum had auburn hair and my dad's hair was jet black. I say was as they're both grey/white now. My dad was grey before I was born. My natural hair colour is light brown but it has reddish tones which mean whenever I dye my hair I have to use cool colours or it goes ginger, but not in a good way. My niece has gorgeous red hair but she insists on dying it blonde which is not a good look for her.
I do not tan at all, no matter what. I've tried fake tan and all that did was make me a tiny bit purple so I gave up. Besides which I think pale skin can be beautiful - look at Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, etc. I definitely think there's a swing back to pale being considered 'in' again, especially as a counterpoint to orange people.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. I like the sun. Aside from anything else, sun tends to mean a calm and sunbathing Gitdog. Which is generally positive unless I'm trying to walk him and he's subsiding into a sunbathing heap every three steps. Or commando crawling along the grass and refusing to get up. At which point my zen like serenity tends to vanish incredibly quickly.
I have a bad stomach. Cancelled this mornings appointments and am now pondering whether I should attempt to make it to this afternoon's meeting or not.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Urgh. No appointments left. Is everyone in the neighbourhood sick? How the hell am I meant to get an appointment when I've had the engaged signal ever since they opened?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Do they not release this afternoon's appointments at midday? Would the press 5 for call back thing work?
I reckon the reason a lot of people haven't seen the GP for years is because by the time they manage to get an appointment they're either better or dead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Totally elsien - I gave up trying to see mine years ago. Think they have the same system code (which involves being stuck on hold on a premium line when you should be on your way to work, then not getting an appointment anyway).
Hope you manage to speak to someone - do they do a callback system or anything?0 -

They release the whole day's appointments at 8am. To be fair, this is the first time I've never been able to get one but it used to be that if you called at 8 you'd get through in a few minutes - the last few times it's been engaged for at least 30 minutes and the appointments get later. They used to have a call management system that meant you called a local rate number and were queued but people moaned about it so they changed it and now all you get is the engaged signal.
I'll try again tomorrow but it's a pain because I commute so I have to work from home and if I continue to not get an appointment, it screws up my week as I need to reschedule meetings.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
