melly, you didn't let her down. You can't save the world on your own, neither can WaS and neither can I. (World-saving desire is a feature that I am on the decline; happy to help but when I feel compelled to help then I am getting poorlier).
faerie, I am impressed with your positivity today.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Sorry i haven't posted recently.
ever since i got the "dla is ending you have to tell us if you want to claim PIP" letter i've gone somewhat downhill. I made the call to claim today and have spent most of my shift at work pretty much catonic with bursts of crying and panic attacks. its al come to a head and made me realise that even though i struggle every day, i have zero support (apart from Swain but i mean professional support). ever since i got discharged from my psych and cpn i have felt completely and utterly alone in coping with my bipolar. i feel like all they do is throw meds at me and send me on my merry way , which of course means as far as supporting evidence for PIP goes i have sweet f.a.
[penguin]If i don;t get PIP, i'll lose my tax credits, if i lose my tax credits i will only have my wages to survive on, which i wont be able to do, which means i'll have to try and get a full time job, which means i will have another breakdown, and i will end up dead. thats all i;ve been able to think about all day. i keep thinking why go through it all. why not just cut to the end result and die anyway. i;ve tried so hard to get back to work, to try and be "normal" and its all going against me. i just feel so hopeless. i'm so sick of fighting. i'm sick of feeling this way. and i know i have Swain and honestly that is the only thing stopping me right now. i feel lost and alone i hate thinking about how my illness affects me. i hate thinking about the things i struggle with. i hate admitting i need help. [/penguin]
i'm sorry ive not posted and then i come post this, i just felt the longer i didnt post the harder it was to come back. but i'm honestly in desperate need of some help right now and this thread is the only place i can turn to.i'm sorry

MessedUp, hun, big hugs (((((((((((((MessedUp)))))))!)))))))
We're very glad to see you. Don't apologise!
And of course, you can come here anytime you want to. It doesn't matter how long it's been since you last posted!
You know, you don't have to come here only when you're feeling bad; we're here for general chats too, which cheer us up, give us a giggle etc. and boost our spirits!
However, it's totally up to you when you come here, and it doesn't matter how long it's been.
Now, let's look at the facts:
You haven't yet had a decision about the tax credits. Is that right? Now, I know that you know that your thought processes are spiralling into catastrophising, and seeing the worst possible outcome and believing that to be the reality.
But it hasn't happened. So breathe...........................
I know that you want to escape from the terrible feelings of doom and disaster. Now, breathe.......breathe..............
Would it be possible for you to see your doctor and explain these current feelings? He/she may want to adjust your meds so that you can deal with them better. Could you ask him/her if you could have some professional support, even if only temporary, to help you through this?
Could Swain come over and be a calming influence?
Now, remember, you are not alone. You have us, you have Swain, you have Swain's family, and none of us would let anything awful happen to you.
If and it's a big IF, your financial situation were to change for the worse, then we are all here for you, to help you sort it out and to support you.
But it hasn't changed yet! And from what people have said on here before, I doubt that it will.
Penguin about suicide....Now, much as you want the bad feelings to end, what if you did, and then a letter comes saying your tax credits will continue? And poor Swain....he'd blame himself......you wouldn't want to hurt him.......and we all love you too! Remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. we are here, Swain is here, everyone is rooting for you! :A :A End penguin
So, for today, go to work, work well - you know you are a stonkingly good worker, you do a good job and your bosses think very highly of you - keep busy, and we'll all help you cope with things as and when they arise, if they ever do.
:A:A:A

If you've not got much to do over the weekend, why not make some sock bunnies?
This short video shows you how to make a quick sock bunny
(Click on the big picture and the video will start......it doesn't have a 'play button').

NB. I suppose you could use wadding or any sort of filling, if you don't want to use rice or grit!
I've got a load of old socks, and a big bag of wadding that I was going to chuck out!
I wonder what I'll be doing?(I just lurve spiders!)

Messedup, try not to panic.
It used to be you could claim WTC if you'd been in receipt of the disabled element of WTC before losing your DLA award. Phone HMRC and check if this is still the situation.0 -
MU,
You should be really proud of yourself. You have the lovely Swain, who wouldn't have been with you so long if you weren't truly a wonderful person. You also have your job so you are valued in the community. (Could your manager provide some supporting evidence for PIP?)
As pyxis says, you also have us. We believe you and we believe in you.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
