    xXMessedUpXx - And breathe.

You must take expert advice. Talk to your GP, get re-referred for a psychologist if necessary and make an appointment to see the CAB.

All is not lost now and it may never be.

There are people who love you and would be devastated if you weren't around.

I'm feeling a little old today, youngest son is 18 today!

Been a busy few days as we had to pick middle son up from uni which as he was playing on Tuesday, turned into an overnight stay and a drive home on Wednesday. His gig went well and eldest son loved going to middle's SU with him and seeing how they do it there compared to his uni SU.

Today is going to be mostly relaxing until youngest son decides he is going to wake up and we can start celebrating...that will be the rest of us celebrating and him, well, not. He doesn't 'do' parties, social gatherings and absolutely hates being the centre of attention, so all very low key compared to when the other two turned 18.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Those bunnies would also be great if they were made from flannels with round soaps.

I have a desire for a soap 'hamper'. Every year, I get asked what I want for my birthday. I always say a soap hamper but I never get one. (I get other lovely presents). I would love a basket or small box filled with all sorts of different bars of soap. Have to make do with Easter eggs for now...it's a hard life.

We are going to see my friend who is home from hospital. I am hoping that littlewing will be able to do her Easter egg hunt in their larger garden.

My husband just gave me a lovely galaxy easter egg. The postman brought me a book I won from good reads. Today is a good day.

I have an Easter egg dilemma.
I bought myself a cheap egg in case no one else did , because it's not Easter without an egg. I bought parent a bigger egg.
I just spotted on the market some really nice Thorntons ones going very cheap. I'm going to buy parent the white chocolate one that she loves, which leaves me the two I've already bought. But they've got dark chocolate ones which I love. But then I'd have three, as parent won't want two for diet reasons.
I can feel my willpower evaporating as I type. Maybe I could donate one to the neighbours kid?

Any news from the RSPCA melly?

Buy the dark one for yourself, the nice Thornton's for your parent and then donate one or both of the spare ones to the goodwill box in your nearest supermarket. That way you get to have the chocolate you really like and make someone else's Easter as well.

((((MU)))) I don't have anything to add to what other people have already said but I hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Good idea if my supermarket has one. I've never noticed before.

  • MU, massive hugs. Try to slow down your thoughts if you can. You have my total empathy because my thought pattern often becomes manic when something triggers me and within 10 minutes I have catastrophised myself into absolute terror and a feeling of utter doom.

Nothing bad has happened YET and MAY NOT happen. Try to find out all you can about what help will be available to you if the worse did happen by all means, but also remind yourself that it hasn't yet. Right now everything is the same. Don't worry too much about only having your GP for PIP evidence, that is all I had and I was given DLA because my previous psychiatric record is so extensive that they already had a lot of previous information. They know of your difficulties already, that will help.

Never feel you can't post no matter how long you have been away from the thread and that goes for anyone taking a break. We are always here for you and we will do all we can to help you because we care about you very much. You have Swain, you have us. You are not alone.

Hello and thank you, GlasweJen for popping in to help MU.

Elsien, I am a very bad influence. Eat all the eggs. DO it!!!!

Melly, I must here about Tomcat and the alsatian please!

WaS he proved my he's not bullied point.

In a neighbours garden (he always goes in there) he's one side of a wrought iron gate Alsation sticks nose through, tomcat does something (we didn't come out till we heard a dog cry) alsation cries lots and owner wipes it's nose and glares at tomcat.
    Tomcat sits
    Tomcat stares
    Tomcat yawns
Tomcat has a bit of a stretch and ambles past the now cowering alsation and wanders home
