Works going ok now, I do have mild paranoia though since I know I have sweat problem as was bullied at school because of it and at previous jobs, my team leader called me in today and said she was treating me to t shirts , wetwipes and deoderant, to be fair I was bad a few weeks ago and had a lot of sweat patches.
Still not 100% but only cough violently about once a day now and not to same level, drained though still haven't learned to cope with the early mornings as drained the most then and some days I slur my speech on phone.0 -
Hope the cough is still improving Deka.
I have my appointment through for a pelvic and transabdominal ultrasound. I am dreading it but will steel myself and go. In the meantime despite now taking iron tablets my levels have dropped again and still no one knows why. My GP is certain that I must be losing blood but I haven't faintest idea where from if I am. I am starting to feel a lack of energy and getting rather dizzy and breathless now so I am hoping the latest tests show something.

WaS Nice to hear from you:)Good luck with the ultrasound, you will be fine you have come a long way since you first started this thread. Hopefully the scan will show what the problem is.0

Good luck with the ultrasound WaS.
I ended up signed off for a week before the bank holiday due to anxiety. The GP offered to extend it at the followup appointment but I declined as I've got a deadline fast approaching (zero flexibility on the deadline as it's one externally imposed across the entire industry), so was back last week, but took Friday as holiday due to being worn out.
I really hope this sorts itself out in November when I have the outpatient clinic appointment for the diagnosis (which the NHS already know as they have all the test data, but seemingly won't tell me until the appointment).Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
Thanks for the good wishes, I am certainly getting out these days even if it is only to WaSp's and my hospital appointments!
Hang in there, ono. You have had so much uncertainty it's no wonder you are feeling a bit frazzled. Hopefully November makes things clearer for you.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I do feel for you, ono, having to wait such a ridiculous amount of time. Stupid stupid NHS - I'm sure it could be better structured for delivering diagnoses. If the dx is a happy one, it doesn't matter who gives it. If it is not happy, surely it would be good if someone who had some idea of the community resources available to help delivered it????? Not a clueless GP or other medic, as is usually the case?
WaS - fingers crossed that they find out what's affecting you soon. In the mean time, many gold :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin for the way you are coping and getting out and about! :A

WaS I hope it's not patronising but like JM I am SUPER proud of you for getting out and about! It's such a far cry from where you were and it's amazing
Sorry I've been a bit quiet - been struggling badly with my own head at the moment. I was in the South for a comic convention the weekend gone though so I took some time to go to the zoo and it did my heart and mind the world of good
Lots of love and golden light to you all!

I keep getting them advertised at me on facebook and think I should go to one, especially given the number of comics I have. There was one outside Bristol the bank holiday weekend but I couldn't motivate myself to leave the house ..

Hi all!
I made it through my ultrasounds which turned out to be one internal and one external scan. I apparently have a very narrow cervix which means they could only see halfway up my uterus so I will need another scan where they insert a thin tube with a camera on the end all the way into my womb so that they can see the top half. But they did find 3 fibroids so far which explains a lot. It is rather a relief to get a diagnosis and at least it is nothing dangerous. The next step is to see if there are any more and then work out a treatment plan, hopefully without surgery. With any luck this means no more tests involving cameras inserted into other places!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
