We love you xxx0 -
Happy New Year all.
WaS, I hope that all goes well with the PIP interview and sorry about the friendship. I know that it doesn't really help but it will definitely be more of a loss to them.
I'm figuring that the rest of 2019 can't really be much worse than the very beginning of it - I saw in the New Year having a massive row with IzHe, thanks to me having been a little too honest on Christmas Eve about how I feel about his sister...
I know that bottling everything up and exploding at the final straw wasn't the best way to go about things but he's made me feel that, no matter how much their actions hurt or upset me, I've no right to say anything negative about his family.
Oh well, onwards and upwards eh...0 -
Oh Iz I do hope things get better for you as the new year progresses. Perhaps you can both discuss it at a later date and you can get your point across? It isn't fair that your feelings should be disregarded.
Well my second PIP assessment came...and went. An hour later Capita called to tell me my assessor called in sick. My third assessment date is the 15th. It will be 9 months since they first sent the form. It is beyond ridiculous at this point.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I think you should send in a complaint about that. At least you didn't have to cross town, incur travel expenses etc. I suppose, but it's really unacceptable to tell you after the time of the event. And do point out the nine month thing! Fuming on your behalf xxxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Gosh, and I've just realised I was about 6 posts behind! Very sorry to hear about disharmony, Izadora. And sad to hear about your friendship, WaS - was it that complicated one? MU, should you be going to A&E instead? *worries*

WaS, you really should complain about how much they've messed you about. Even if it didn't have as much of an impact on you as it does it wouldn't be acceptable.
MU, please try to get an emergency appointment, it sounds like you could do with a little help at the moment.
Things seem to be alright with IzHe now but I will try to have a calm discussion with him about it all at some point. It's not easy when his way of dealing with anything he finds difficult is to stick his head in the sand/shut down but I do realise that screaming at him that I'm his wife and therefore also his family probably wasn't the best way to get my point across...0 -
Glad things are better Iz. You have my empathy because I went through that for years with WaSp's brother, I had many problems with him but I wasn't allowed to be critical. Now WaSp has more problems with him than I do and I am the one saying stay in contact. It only took 15 years...
MU, perhaps see if you can be seen as an emergency? I understand the urge to come off medication to create a mood change. I have done it myself before but I do have to say it has never turned out well. Let us know how you are when you can, please?Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

# Alias _Omega, go to your nearest library and have a look on the notice board for details of any get-togethers, local talks, coffee mornings, requests for volunteers, evening classes, that sort of thing.
Make a point of choosing at least two things to go to, even if they don't sound all that exciting.
Maybe a talk on local history, or somesuch?
One-off things that don't require a commitment, so you have nothing to lose.
Then make sure you go to them, even if you don't feel like it. You might be pleasantly surprised, but if not, you haven't lost anything!
The more local things you go to, you more you will bump into people you recognise, and so you might slowly build up a circle of acquaintances, from which other ideas might spring.
# As well as your library, your local supermarket might have a noticeboard for local events.
#Are your children at school? There might be clubs and things you could get involved in there, even if only on a one-off basis.
# Then there is your local authority newsletter.. online or a paper one that comes through the door.....there are often details of things to do in there, which might range from health ideas to general interest.
By tipping your toe into a number of different things, you might find a couple of interests which really grab you, and which you can take further.
If not, just have fun with the toe-tipping!(I just lurve spiders!)

Been a interesting few weeks for me, caught something when going to parents for Christmas, which took 10 days to go away, then got another train and it came back (though different symptoms) which isn't the best as I have 2 job interviews over next few days which I want to be at my best for.
On the medication side when I am tired/low I feel worse than before but that might also be because they are slowing down other thoughts and thus making the bad feelings clearer, but I am also more active, watching movies, doing a huge amount of DIY etc its more like my brain has gone from being flooded with information to flooded with less thoughts but the same amount of flood.0
