Nightmare Comping Moments

^I comp with the date/month/year one behind, I always wonder if this will cause issues in the future should I win?0

When you rush doing a rafflecopter and paste the wrong link into the tweet option, I copied my osteopaths address and telephone number into one the other day and was to quick to press send before realising, the same with miss spelling my twitter handle.0

I have a comping dob too, but each bit is just one digit different from my actual dob, hoping I can claim 'fat fingers' if it ever caused a problem. I've used it so many times I have to check myself when filling out something official!moreofthegoodstuff wrote: »^I comp with the date/month/year one behind, I always wonder if this will cause issues in the future should I win?
Why do they want my dob to enter a competition to win some cheese anyway? I figure if it's to confirm my identity and I give them my comping dob that should do it. I don't suppose I'll know until/unless I win!I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. For DOB I put the day and the month the wrong way round, and would claim I was 'thinking American, sorry!' if it was ever queried (not so far...)0

Nightmare Moment.
When one of your friends starts bragging to others ( on your behalf ) about all the competitions you have won!0 -
When your internet is down for a week, you open 250 tabs of comps you want to enter when it is working again. The laptop is then accidentally knocked off the side, you loose all the tabs and you have to trawl through 100 pages to catch back up again0
-
When you receive a phone call saying you have won a prize and during the conversation they ask 'So, do you enter many competitions?' and you have that moment of having to decide whether to reply 'Oh, about 2000 a month' or 'I just thought I'd give it a go, never expected to win anything, wow, what a surprise, I'm absolutely delighted, wonderful news, partner's going to be overjoyed, really thank you very much......'0

When you go all out with a creative comp entry and the company hosting the competition never even announce a winner!:mad::('Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about';):)0

My mother does this
:o with family, friends even the damn postman/delivery guys! I always hope prizes arrive when she's not in or she doesn't ask where something has come from. Down side to being part of"generation stuck at home", you're mum KNOWS everything

Sorry - Serena03 - I don't know how to include a previous post in an orange box in my response!!
....Or when you spend ages on a creative comp, fulfilling the brief exactly and yet the person who wins hasn't conformed to the rules but still gets the prize!0
