  • Still here, still going. Annoyingly one of the insurance companies I switched away from took a payment this month.  The payment was £39.50 but I just took it from the emergency fund while it is being resolved. So nice to have the money there and not to feel panicked by it.

Another payment down on the HSBC card. The balance stands at £5150 until they add the interest to it. Must keep the faith that it is going down overall even if it never seems to go below £5K.

  • Getting close to the £5k mark on that card now, keep the great work up! So annoying about the insurance company, hate that they are always so quick to take your money but so slow to give it back! Agreed though, so great that you have an EF so it's not hitting your budget for this month and making things tight 😊

  • A weird thing has happened. I ordered all the Christmas presents on Amazon. The amount showed up in my pending transactions with the bank. The presents all arrived. The pending transaction disappeared but no actual transaction happened. So as it stands I have paid for none of the stuff I have received. I've left it a week to see if anything changed but nothing has. Very odd indeed.

Lol. That would be nice but sadly I can't see Amazon doing that. Seems strange as they usually take the money quickly. Presumably they will eventually take it so just ignore for now. You have told them so I would now be inclined to leave it, ignore the money sat in your account for now and if still there in a month reuse the money for something else.
