    Morning all :)
Thanks for the start Bob :)
Glad you are feeling better CCL :)

Well, no rain so far, so I am about to peg the washing out on the line. Wish me luck!

    Other things today:
Cheap breakfast of porridge, stewed fruit and yogurt :)Done
Received refund from Ocado for squashed cheese and a badly dented tin :T
    Dog walks x 2 We did 1 each :)
    Check banks Not yet
Dental hygienist later, so definitely not a NSD Done
Pop into sales unit while out, to see if anything needed / tidy up Done, few bits gone :)
    HM meals from stores Done
Any surveys, check the FPL Done
Read and file Council Tax information that arrived yesterday Done
Finish tidying up after having GD yesterday Done
Housework - probably dusting / cleaning surfaces and furniture (lots of dark wood + dust = not a good look :o) Not yet :o:o
Heating off, manage without till it is time to light the wood burner! Done

Right, coffee to finish and then washing to put out! OH has volunteered to do dog walk #1 :)

Got a whole line full of washing nearly dry, so that will go on the airer overnight :)
Cooked some rhubarb from the freezer in the SC - it doesn't disintegrate that way (well, it doesn't in the oven either but I wasn't putting the oven on just for that
Found a nice Per Una skirt that looks unworn in the CS while out, paid £3.20 for it. Got it home, and it is a bit tight, along with my jeans, as I haven't yet lost the few pounds I put on over Christmas :o Must do something about this, as I certainly don't want to be going up a size

    Still some bits to do....

Yay, found leftover paint in the loft from previous owners so didn't need to 1) buy a tester pot or 2) try to match the existing colour. Painted the bits that needed doing and now it's good as new :T
  • Hi Make_the_change - there's one on the old-style board - they set up a new one every weekend for the week ahead. I used to post on it all the time. I don't so much now for some reason but I'm definitely more organised when I do! I'll hunt out the link for you.

You're a star! I have never really ventured onto the other boards. Thanks!!

    Good evening all :hello:
Well, the time diary has proven to be a real eye opener. Things I thought were a 2 minute job are actually way longer than that. No wonder I never stop - I'm trying to fit far too much into a day.
Some lovely recipes on here, and I have a couple of hairy bikers cook books gathering dust in the kitchen as well, which I might have a look through,

    :) [STRIKE]check banking and PAD
    :) load of washing
    :) meals from stores
    :) aim for nsd
    :) crochet
:) continue watching 'the night manger'
:) start planning lessons for next week, but can't do much without my laptop[/STRIKE]
:) hope and pray my laptop can be fixed
:) encourage DH out of bed and to do something
:) [STRIKE]read my book on stress and assertiveness to prepare for my meeting next week[/STRIKE]

I've just realised that I never mentioned doing a time diary on here... :o Well, to cut a long story short I decided to track my time today and see what I'm doing and when. Very interesting indeed...
  • Thanks for the start!

Another early night for me last night, not sure what's got into me lately but I am asleep by 10pm these days. Quiet day here really:

    - school run done
    - eat something had the half of pizza left in freezer as kids decided the freebie I got they didn't like (one said too crunchy the other too red! Fussy sods)
    - entertain DD and DS2 for free done - DD is being a right Madame lately, little pain!
    - nursery run with DD done
    - pop into town to print letters and post eBay parcel done
    - school run done
    - wash at 30 degrees two done
    - meals from stores for kiddies done
    - homemade chicken and chorizo lasagne for me and OH done
    - surveys done a couple
    - check luckeyphone and Freepostcodelottery done

Homemade lasagne was delish with enough leftovers to do one more meal for me and OH and lunch for him too! One of our new favs to add to the list! Now to make the most of some peace and quiet!

Back from a beautiful day doing another 13 miles of the Great Big Canal Challenge. Not a drop of rain for all five hours, though there was a breeze which has reddened my face. Saw a Kingfisher as I came through Kirkintilloch but it was flying too fast for me to get a clear photo; I was just pleased to see one, just the third one in my lifetime, and I look for them obsessively...most 'glimpses' of them turn out to be discarded Pepsi cans!

    * Bought our train tickets carefully so as to spend as little cash a possible and get the right balance of singles and returns on multi-stage journeys.

    * OH has decided she wants a much cheaper birthday present than originally planned. Can't argue with that! :D

    * Found 22p in Glasgow while changing railway stations on the way home.

    * Free paper at the station.

    * Took a flask and a packed lunch.

    * Wore my expensive waterproof jacket I bought a couple of years ago which has been sitting around unworn ever since.

    * Post-run feet dressed with Compeed from stores. I regard all other blister plasters as a waste of money.

    * Bought a pizza for £1.70 and cooked it ourselves instead of buying one for £10 from the chip shop.

Evening, it has been grey, wet and cold today.

Bob Thanks for starting us off this morning.

Ally Thank you for the information royal mail surveys, both yesterday and today.

Today has been good in an DFW way, NSD, minimal heating, meals from stores etc. But dd has frustrated me EVERYTHING I have asked her to do she has moaned about, dragged her feet, not applied herself, messed around, wasted time, if it involved not doing as she was told she did it  who knows what is going on with her hopefully tomorrow will be better. As a result of how much time I have spent coaxing, encouraging, chastising, despairing with dd, I haven't done much of the other things I planned to do today :(

Just had to dash into the kitchen and leave a note on the fridge. We are a bit low on milk and rather than driving into town to get more (and probably buying other things as well) I have asked everyone not to use too much. The teenagers need reminding though.

Twiggy my boss donates fruit to me all the time. I think he worries that I am too poor to afford my own because I shop at Li@l (where poor people shop in his book). We have a site meeting tomorrow and he has told me not to take a packed lunch, he will buy me a sandwich. He means well and I dont mind him thinking I am penniless if he buys me food!

    Offer

Are you entitled to 35% off eBay final listing fees? I recommend checking now as this is a short term offer. It seems that I am eligible. :) (Link)
