Thursday 10th March - What small debt free wannabe things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Morning!
Today I need to:
Decide if the jacket that I bought in a sale is really useful/practical or if I have just made an impulse buy. Send back if necessary.
Do my spreadsheets/check online banking.
Try and get some washing out and walk the dog (weather dependent).
Get some housework done.
Make a packed lunch to take to work. Roast dinner for tea.
Have a good Thursday everyone x0 -

Hi March Money-Watchers,
Thanks for the starter Bob.
Well it's a lovely sunny/frosty day today and I am going to continue my Big Canal Walk.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Ten:
* Work out the logistics of the Canal. I'm not sure whether my OH is coming so I'll need to wait til she wakes up as this will determine whether I drive to the start or take the train.
* Check finances.
What about you folks?

Morning all
Thanks for the start today Bob
I'm starting to get the hang of this 'working on the tablet' thing. I didn't come back on last night because I was deep in thought and sorting myself out. I'm very pleased to report that I feel loads better and will definitely be well enough to go back into work on Monday.
So, a list of things to do today.
check banking and PAD
load of washing
meals from stores
aim for nsd
crochet
continue watching 'the night manger'
start planning lessons for next week, but can't do much without my laptop
hope and pray my laptop can be fixed
encourage DH out of bed and to do something
read my book on stress and assertiveness to prepare for my meeting next week
Have a good day everyone :T
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning all

Thanks for the start Bob
Glad you are feeling better CCL
Well, no rain so far, so I am about to peg the washing out on the line. Wish me luck!
Other things today:
Cheap breakfast of porridge, stewed fruit and yogurt
Received refund from Ocado for squashed cheese and a badly dented tin :T
Dog walks x 2
Check banks
Dental hygienist later, so definitely not a NSD
Pop into sales unit while out, to see if anything needed / tidy up
HM meals from stores
Any surveys, check the FPL
Read and file Council Tax information that arrived yesterday
Finish tidying up after having GD yesterday
Housework - probably dusting / cleaning surfaces and furniture (lots of dark wood + dust = not a good look
)
Heating off, manage without till it is time to light the wood burner!
Right, coffee to finish and then washing to put out! OH has volunteered to do dog walk #1
