eBay mis-spelling bargains

Options
Hope this doesn't break any rules - apologies if it does!

Have just found a site that searches eBay for mis-spelt things - so if you're looking for a Playstation 2, type it into the search box and the program finds any possible mis-spellings. Just now, there was a PS2 at a very low price because no-one would find it doing a normal search.

I don't have any connection with the site.

There may be others, but I haven't found them yet!

Mel.

I'll contact these bidders they're about to get scammed.

Could also be the sellers account is hacked? MOH had his account hacked a while back and whoever had done it set up an auction for this exact same thing. At first we thought why would someone want to sell a laptop on his account, all was revealed when you read the tiny small print at the bottom.
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:

    I love you welf-man!

I found a long time ago that people mispelling items were a road to cheap bids but had to search myself (a shamefully long drawn out process) Anyway, now this does it for me!

Or maybe someone has opened a new account and is purposely bidding high - has no intention of paying, but just landing the seller (scammer?) with high final value fees!

I think I agree with you trace-j, I reckon the buyer is a mischevious 'scambuster' bidder. If it's a genuine bidder then he's going to get a hell of a shock and maybe ought to read the auction in future.
