We’re sure you’ll love your new mattress. But just in case, you have 90 days to exchange it and try another. Once you’ve found the perfect one for you, we guarantee it will last for 25 years.
And it does lock you in to buying from Ikea.0 -

Healthbeds also make a fantastic product.
Sealy is currently owed by Tempur! But made under license by Silentnight of all people. Sealy are not the brand that they used to be that's for sure. Go into any shop and lift one, hardly anything in it.
Thanks im thinking it would be best to get a Pocket and Memory matress designed that way as opposed to getting just a pocket matress and adding a memory topper later - or does that not matter?
The products ive found are

http://www.mattressesworld.co.uk/p/Healthbeds_Memory_Superior_2000_Mattress.htm?brand=Healthbeds&mattress_type=Pocket_and_Memory&mattress_type=Pocket_and_Latex
http://www.mattressesworld.co.uk/p/Relyon_Diamond_Pocket_Memory_2400_Mattress.htm
Or the below and the need for a topper?

I was thinking more along the lines of this one....http://www.mattressmagic.co.uk/acatalog/Kaymed-Visco-Pocket-1600-Divan-Set.html
The advantages of purchasing a normal pocket sprung mattress and separate topper are, you can turn the mattress over but also if you get too warm you can remove the topper!
I very much admire the Factory Bed guys for what they do, especially the fact they aren't scared to tell you what exactly is in their products, something that no other supplier does!
As for the products in the links provided is very hard to judge as I've never touch, lifted, sat on them so very difficult to judge them.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

I would not buy a bed without trying it first and even then it's not certain you will make the right choice. If you can, get one that offers an exchange or refund if you don't like it. We bought a Vispring from JL and after two weeks decided it was too soft for my OH, they changed it for us without a problem. We changed it for a Vispring Superking Ziplink with one side firmer than the other. It met our needs perfectly.
Vispring aren't cheap but are exceptional beds, add JL's customer services and you won't go far wrong.0 -

You will be paying for all of these returned mattresses though, just indirectly!0

Think what he means is, who bares the cost of selling off the "used mattresses?" The shop can't sell them as brand new, so they'll either go to the dump or be sold off cheap. That is a cost to the seller, who no doubt recovers those cost in the initial price of the goods.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

Correct.
The price of any returns is already built into the initial cost!0
