I am definitely not poorly but you must have a spooky sixth sense MKS...ive just spoken to someone who thought it was my FB birthday.....it's not but I was joking that I was over 100 on FB:rotfl:

At least I am not the only one that gets birthdays wrong. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks springdreams, it is interesting other people's views. :T

We have already decided to splash out on granite worktops and upstands, went and paid the deposit earlier today. We are having oak units and did look into oak worktops but they need looking after and I don't think I am up to the job. :rotfl:

The tiles sound similar to what I want, I don't want a smooth finish I was touching all the tiles and some actually feel colder to touch in the shops. The emulated stone ones are textured and oddly they didn't feel as cold to touch. It will probably be a shock to our feet as we have had kitchen carpet last 20 years in the main part but we spill too much and I want to be able to wash down regularly. Especially after family gatherings. ;)

Rhosy, your strength as a family shines through, seems like your future SiL seems a good additionto. As lovely as the trappings are, at the end of the day, the commitment is between the two of them, that's the important part, in my opinion.

Thank you so much. and i totally agree they are a perfect couple si just seeing then getting married is going to be special. My future sil is the sort i woyld have picked for her. My boys see him as another brother, and spend time with him without their sister. and he just fits in to the family like he has always been there. :)
