Sorry . need to concentrate on the good, my dear dd2 is expecting due in November, so pleased for them and I know their little girl is going to love a sibling.

Just got of phone to her when dd1 phones in tears her wedding caterers have disappeared from the internet and she can't get an answer on phone and emails bounce back it looks like they have gone and she paid in full.

That's is so wrong- I hope she gets her money back

Oh dear, I am sure the food will get sorted with the skills you have ;) . Can she/her friends put posts on FB to try and locate the people that took her money, someone is bound to know who they are/where they are from.

I have been out looking for floor tiles today, what a coincidence. :D

Think we are going to go for some from Tile Giant. Seem quite reasonable.

We have been told by our builder best tiles for kitchen floors are porcelain ones, so think we are going for these in natural but this shade is bit darker might do well in hiding muddy paws. ;)

    They look nice TS...

TS If you are anywhere near Denton Gt Manchester..The tiles are on a well known auction site for....£15.99/m2.. Pick up only...Or search on line..They can be found cheaper...:D

Thanks both of you :A I hope they get it back to. As yes they had paid in full. For afternoon tea for 100, then evening hog hog roast with buffet. And puddings. Also a photo booth, popcorn machines and candyfloss machine.
So a lot if money. She paid by credit card so I have told her to phone first thing to see if they can help. And we will worry about caterers after so fingers crossed though not sure where she stands as don't do credit cards

    This may help

    http://www.moneysupermarket.com/credit-cards/guide-to-credit-card-protection/

You might not be aware of it, but that credit card tucked away in your wallet or purse possesses a secret weapon that provides you with fantastic protection against certain financial frights.
As well as helping you to make ends meet or to pay for big purchases which you wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford, your credit card protects you for anything you buy costing over £100. So, if the company that’s sold you something goes bust before the item is delivered, or if it’s broken and the supplier won’t sort things out, you can still get a refund.

Use plastic where it is hidden..i.e. underfloors and behind the plasterboards....Only bits of copper on show is that which comes out of the floor into the radiators..Around the boiler for obvious reasons....etc..its all so easy to use now...everything is mainly pushfit..

OH uses them all the time, I have an absolute hatred for plastic push fittings... I know that they are tried and tested, but I still do not trust them.

She was very sensible paying my credit card, if they have done a runner you can claim the money back.
