I'm back:T, earlier than expected, via 3 stores (sort of - bits from each today and I'm sure there will be things I haven't caught today) - so, in theory, I can update everything for the next seven hours or so and then have an updated list to check tomorrow! I've lost some items today as my stores don't stock them and haven't got any SEL, but no worries as I will do some magical things/make decisions about what to do with them later on!
There are changes and not changes today in M. I think the main ones that we would be concerned with are the Easter fresh veg. which, as we already expected, is now going off in M - in transition to going back up in price. As we don't buy in M but only use the APG:rotfl:, we aren't concerned with M today but one thing I know is that I would rather be on the current price collection than on any updated price collection (I am hoping we are still on last Wednesday?).
Take your pick - or rather just get what the APG gives you - and it is likely not to be as good as it has been! From my three Ms today, I have as follows:
Store 1
Broccoli - only 38p ones now:( (price of 38p stated on them rather than yellow circle and no price:mad: of before) and SEL says 38p.
Onions - some packs at 28p and some at 56p with SEL at 56p.
Sweetheart Cabbage - only got packs at 43p and SEL 43p.
Carrots - some 28p and some 58p with SEL of 58p.
(For completeness as this isn't comparable from A: ) Swede - some priced at 28p and some at 50p with 50p SEL.
Store 2
Broccoli - vast majority at 38p (only a single specimen at 28p and that has BB date of today) - SEL now says 38p.
Onions - 28p and 56p packs with SEL 28p.
Sweetheart - Just packs at 43p and SEL 43p.:(
Carrots (won't compare) - 28p and 58p stock but SEL of 28p.
Swede - some at 28p and some at 50p - SEL of 50p.
Store 3
Broccoli - 38p stock only and 38p SEL.:(
Onions - only 28p stock:) - no SEL.
Sweetheart - only packs at 43p and no SEL.
Carrots - some stock priced at 28p and some at 58p with SEL of 47p:huh::rotfl:.
Swede - only 28p stock - SEL says "PRICED":p. (But then the only ones I can find there are priced at 28p.)
I think it's a case of you might as well assign a random price (whether 28p or new higher) to each store - do that six times - and then it depends whether you have 3 or more at the lower price either outweighing or being equal to the stores just with higher priced stock and new SELs. That's in theory.
I think - but this is just from my stores - the Broccoli is unlikely to work vs 28p after any update as there is now clear stock of 38p and it seems unlikely that stores will have older stock at 28p around, in order to trump a 38p price by, in theory, the lowest price found in that store being taken. It's especially unlikely if there is no price collection today - by tomorrow, I suspect all will be 38p! The Tenderheart seems to be going to get 43p price according to all I have found in my stores! The Onions - like I say, I would so much rather be on last Wednesday's APG price collection. In short, if anyone wants any of these items, you have only yourself to blame for now leaving it so late:rotfl:. So that now it may work or it may not.
The White Potatoes 1.3Kg at 28p appear to have gone. However, they got replaced by Mr A's White Potatoes initially, with Mr A selling you nearly twice as much for only a penny more, and then went onto Aldi's White Potatoes of same weight as A at 25p. Some of the fresh veg. is expected to be 25p for over another week anyway on Aldi Super6. So that may be the way to go, particularly as Aldi is less than 28p(-10%). Nonetheless, I managed to get two packs of 1Kg Carrots on BB date in M for 15p each:(. I would normally be adding a; however I found some at 14p in the next M. So, I paid them 2p too much!
In other news, the Kippers 200g are going from 93p to £1.30. There may be some stock flashed at 93p still available - which should either scan at 93p or if it does not you have, IMO, a good case for going to CS for that price.
The Rustler's Quarter Pounder has gone to £2 - I believe it already did so last week and it was already deleted from the list (you may have noticed:D:rotfl:). There may be some stock flashed at £1 in some Ms - and maybe different BCs so that, there, they are still £1. However, given the doubt over which store TBG may use and what stock with what prices, either stated or not, they might find in there, I've considered it too risky already so I deleted it. (However - in a sense, it's not risky anymore on TBG - you scan your 10 or more different items and if it is going to sell you the Rustler's at £1 immediately after you've entered your bags number, then all is good on there - if it wants a higher price, then you just cancel everything.)
About now might be the time that the Glade Discreet Refills, that have been at £1.38 in M (and about twice the price in A), might - if they ever have been been picked up on the APG - now stop being picked up and go N/A. I no longer have them in my stores today - one of mine, the only one I had them in last time, was one of the few stores I saw with them still lingering around. They have been elsewhere - I know that - and I think they probably are still around, but I think it's now becoming less likely that the APG will have a store with them in - simply because they are appearing to go from the Ms by now. The Adidas Ice Dive and Game shower gels have gone for me - I think they are becoming less likely to get an M price now as well. The JF Blow Out Spray:eek: - has been £2 in M - may now be past its best and, if that ever was picked up, now surely risks an N/A - I just have a store with it marked with an OOS label now. It is around elsewhere. I am sure. However, is it going from more of the stores that have had it?
There are also some items going onto better RTC prices that what I already have:rotfl::(:rotfl:. It's mainly the cookies/biscuits section - plus some Patterson Shortbread Fingers (180g) at 30p:T. I know some people managed to get a glitch on 300g ones from A before - and so much for the actual 2 for £1.50 pricing now:rotfl:, given the price of the 180g - but the 180g at 30p are a good price if you pay for them. I found them, in one store, on the RTC shelf rather than the main aisle. They were in the main aisle in one of my other stores.
As I suggested, though, I can't be guaranteed to have picked up everything this time. (Something missed this time may be picked up tomorrow:cool:.) And, anyway, I never pick up everything as there are always items that aren't in any previous M I've seen no matter how many more stores I go to:rotfl:.
I think the Whole Salmon has gone - maybe it hasn't:rotfl: - but not in any of the Ms I've seen today.
The Kitchen Roll Holder has gone back up to full price:(. There are some Udis:D to check. Bet they aren't the ones that would be any right ones:rotfl:.
Another jigsaw puzzle at £1.25 - other items here and there - Wonky Cabbage at 44p but with Sweetheart having been 28p (and I got a 15p short-date one before) why would you?
Some point offers now on mainly Free From and World Foods items. (You would have to bother with the points though these days.) Not always possible to tell every one of them that has a points offer as some stores not marked up - and taking offer prices for another store, as the store has full price SELs, and putting them with the points offer showing in the store that doesn't show the correct price. Or - one of them - showing full prices no mbuy in two stores, showing points offer in one of those but not the other and third store has mbuy showing but not the points offer! I think it's on mbuy and points!:T Just 10p per purchase it looks like, but could make a difference in some cases in which 10% from A is lower than 10p. In other cases - e.g. KTC Veg Oil 5L - 10% off pricing of 2 for £8 (assuming mbuy is picked up) would be better than the presumed 20p points for two. KTC tins 3 for £1, are on 10p points offer. Changes to be made to the list to reflect the points offers on items already on there.
I think that's nearly everything:rotfl:. Another comprehensive post again - I can't do anything else!:D:rotfl:
Obviously some Easter products - sweets 400g at £1 and 220g at 50p - that sort of thing. I'm not bothering with individual eggs and small 30g and 10g products at 30ps - someone else can bother with those sorts of items.
Tracker White Chocolate 6 and Chocolate Chip 6 on 50p in M.
McVities Breakfast Bakes gone down to 50p. There really does need to be an mbuy to go onto them instore in A in the next few days!0
