Just back from the office. Boss was nice and first thing I said was I upset at what he said to me whilst acknowledging I made a mistake. He said I had been there for 2 years and this was the first time he told me off. He said his fuse is very long but when it goes it goes. He apologised for the way he spoke to me which I accepted. I asked him if he was happy with my work and he said yes. He reiterated that he thinks I am nosy and I said maybe I am a gossip but only in the confines of the office ( which him and my colleague are also ).I also said I never discuss his business with anyone and in all my working life I have never been indiscrete.
I then moved on to the money thing and he said he had been meaning to talk to me about cutting my hours as he feels I dont have enough to do. I told him that at times i am not busy but am really busy at the moment with year end/ vat and trying to tidy up past mistakes made by previous lady as accountant has given me the tools to do it.
We agreed to meet again in a month to see which way we are going. It may work out for the best as I can still pick up some bookkeeping I can do at home in hours to suit me and keep my earnings up.
    Feel relieved

Well done rose - and breathe..............
Good to get it sorted but stick to your guns, don't let him dictate. I know it is stressful running your own business but good reliable staff are hard to come by, let's hope he now appreciates you more.
    Good Luck,

    ChelseaFred:)

    Good Afternoon

Someone stole my whoopsie chickens last night
Had 2 small chickens in my trolley, they were only the small ones from the butcher's counter £2 each, reduced to 30p, but that's not the point.
Some low life pinched them after I had waited ages for the reductions :(

I know someone that did squares , not sure how much square was but they coloured it in when paid that amount and they have done fantastic:T:T
I remember that too, they had a chart and coloured in a square when they paid off that amount.

Thanks for asking cjj. She was in my bed at 6.45am again this morning crying. Yesterday when I got home from work she was glued to me. However, by some miracle she passed her driving theory test this morning (hooray!) and has gone to college. I had a couple of sad texts about 11ish but nothing since, so no doubt she'll be in need of lots of cuddles when she gets in shortly.

    How are you? :)
    Hello :D
Bless her, hope she feels a bit better soon but well done to her on theory :T:T:T
    Hope you are ok ?

I've written down to chase AFTER 28 March 2016.
I always seem to have to chase for extra points which are supposed to be automatic when you do one of the 'offers'
    The end is nigh

I had to do a muggle shop for easter eggs earlier but can't check until just after 4 if anything glitched, I got twirl, mars and something else, don't know if they were glitching - did try to have a quick check on here this morning, but too far out of the loop and got caught up reading about nerf's little one's poos :rotfl:

 afternoon all, hope all is well, I have been lurking in another part of the forum  trying to find new ways of sorting out the debts. I have come to the realisation that there isn't much in life I want, but I would really like to own my own house one day. It's difficult to imagine when I rent and have loads of debts, but if I don't do it soon I will be too old to take on a mortgage and I have seen so many people on here do amazingly well with their finances, so I'm going to try my best (though the muggle shopping isn't going to help!). Sorry for the waffle
The Debt free wanna be boards do offer good advice, thry often suggest using the 'snowball calculator' to work out interest rates, which to pay off first etc. I used to do a 'payment a day' and make a payment to a debt each day, even if it was only for a £1. It made me feel good too. In the days of printed statements I also had a chuckle about the number of pages they had to send me. However you tackle it, you are on the right track, 'cos you are dealing with it.

    Good luck
    Pip

OK... so here's a question....and it's not intended to inflame but more to find out.....and perhaps get a bit of conversation and good banter on the thread.....

if you have 50 bottles of coke...do you drink them quicker than if you had a lesser amount, just because they are there?

I know when we have excesses of things that's usually the case...when it s rice we seem to have an extra pack just because we can....same with the odd bottle of wine and certainly in the days of penny chocs we always had a box open.

So aside from those who glitch to sell on....what do you do with your stashes and how long does it take to use them up...do you have more of something simply because.....

    open to all.....

Don't really have much of a stash as such, about 6 months worth of shower stuff, about a year's worth of laundry, bought on offer when the price or deal or comparison was good. When I get cond spend MoCs I tend to stock up on stuff that I know I'll use, and if it's food cupboard it will be things with a long date. Two tins of Xmas biscuits still left, so haven't bought any in 2016 except for an odd pack of KitKats.

I dislike waste, so won't buy things for the sake of it. Coke, wine and coffee are a total no-go as I won't drink them. Enjoyed the meal deals though.

I do eat some chocolate most days, so the egg glitch is a good way of getting it cheaply - but hopefully I won't eat much more than usual

I love seeing what other people buy though. Love the glitches and the shops and the comparisons. DD thinks I might have a problematic obsession... :rotfl:

Outside the trolley it's fair game...but once it goes into a trolley that's not on...good price though if you could have kept them.

OH....LS...That's great news about DD's theory...but doesn't that mean you'll soon have the worry of a second young driver in the family....

It does, although DD hasn't quite got the same funds as DS so don't think she would actually be able to run a car at the moment without picking up a bit more work. DS gets PIP, so between that and his wages he can afford to run a car fairly easily.

The thought of being mobile might help and it certainly changed my dds for the better.....how long till her test ?

She's only had 6 hours of practical lessons so far. Although her instructor did say to her today via text that she should book her practical, but I think thats because its a 3 month wait minimum, as she needs a lot more driving time yet!

I'm good thanks, bit tired after dealing with emotional daughter plus work (been training yesterday and today, new system and the learning has literally broken my brain I think, am worn out!). How are you doing? Saw a car like yours in asda the other night and it made me think of you! :rotfl:

altojack, glad your appointment went well, hope your date comes through soon. :)

In a rather strange way...she's probably right to a certain degree about not just you but most who frequent the thread....its just a case of what level someone individually pitches them self at.

My crux is certainly wine and beauty products...but each to their own
