Thanks for asking cjj. She was in my bed at 6.45am again this morning crying. Yesterday when I got home from work she was glued to me. However, by some miracle she passed her driving theory test this morning (hooray!) and has gone to college. I had a couple of sad texts about 11ish but nothing since, so no doubt she'll be in need of lots of cuddles when she gets in shortly.

    How are you? :)

Thanks for the replies re pickup Mocs everyone.

Aww good LS, the thought of the freedom of being able to drive soon will distract her a little. Exciting times ahead being able to go anywhere, anytime :).

I'm good thanks. Finished work until Weds. Got dd visiting tomorow and little shopping trip planned. A walk in the Yorkshire Dales planned for Monday. Have a lovely Easter. Hope Dd feels a bit better after a visit from the Easter bunny & lots & lots of chocolate xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Just back from the office. Boss was nice and first thing I said was I upset at what he said to me whilst acknowledging I made a mistake. He said I had been there for 2 years and this was the first time he told me off. He said his fuse is very long but when it goes it goes. He apologised for the way he spoke to me which I accepted. I asked him if he was happy with my work and he said yes. He reiterated that he thinks I am nosy and I said maybe I am a gossip but only in the confines of the office ( which him and my colleague are also ).I also said I never discuss his business with anyone and in all my working life I have never been indiscrete. He said he was well aware that I work confidentially.
I then moved on to the money thing and he said he had been meaning to talk to me about cutting my hours as he feels I dont have enough to do. I told him that at times i am not busy but am really busy at the moment with year end/ vat and trying to tidy up past mistakes made by previous lady as accountant has given me the tools to do it.
We agreed to meet again in a month to see which way we are going. It may work out for the best as I can still pick up some bookkeeping I can do at home in hours to suit me and keep my earnings up.
    Feel relieved

You did well Rose, good idea to get it off your chest before the Bank Holiday :T

Now enjoy your Easter Break :A

OK... so here's a question....and it's not intended to inflame but more to find out.....and perhaps get a bit of conversation and good banter on the thread.....

if you have 50 bottles of coke...do you drink them quicker than if you had a lesser amount, just because they are there?

I know when we have excesses of things that's usually the case...when it s rice we seem to have an extra pack just because we can....same with the odd bottle of wine and certainly in the days of penny chocs we always had a box open.

So aside from those who glitch to sell on....what do you do with your stashes and how long does it take to use them up...do you have more of something simply because.....

    open to all.....
id say no to that if honest ,i drink a lot of coke far 2 much and im not drinking more because its here ..but i am offering it out easier than if i was paying full price ,i generally end up giving mine to family and friend when they visit ,its a nice feeling to be able to do that at times x

It does, although DD hasn't quite got the same funds as DS so don't think she would actually be able to run a car at the moment without picking up a bit more work. DS gets PIP, so between that and his wages he can afford to run a car fairly easily.

She's only had 6 hours of practical lessons so far. Although her instructor did say to her today via text that she should book her practical, but I think thats because its a 3 month wait minimum, as she needs a lot more driving time yet!

I'm good thanks, bit tired after dealing with emotional daughter plus work (been training yesterday and today, new system and the learning has literally broken my brain I think, am worn out!). How are you doing? Saw a car like yours in asda the other night and it made me think of you! :rotfl:

altojack, glad your appointment went well, hope your date comes through soon. :)
    Bless you xx
