Watched Back in time for the weekend and they were talking about how we will live in the future and mentioned the book The Life - Changing Magic Of Tidying.
Sounded a bit ott but I ordered the book and I must say it makes a lot of sense.
It's about only owning items you love (so I suppose stashes are allowed).
Mhoc will be amused that one of the responses was 'I lost my husband now the house is tidy'.
It is really a technique designed for the small living spaces in Japan but I am going to give it a try. Strangely enough my sister was saying tonight it was the focus of her monthly Happiness Course ( Supporting a friend's new venture).
I would put it as a 'must' read, even if you don't follow it its very interesting.
Hope every one is well. Mr Ted tried to post his slideshow last night TM but it didn't work:( Will have to just put my favourite spa photos up instead.

Just watching the obsessive compulsives
My Oh has just announced that on his own he would either go one way or another - he says he would probably go the obsessive way.
He has forgotten the hell hole he lived in when I first met him
I said I know what way you would go and I showed him a photo I'd taken this morning of the crumb strewn living room carpet next to his sofa. I said that it is not normal to have to vaccum at least once a day or even twice to keep on top of Ohs crumbs and cat tufts- there are only 2 of us after all (and 3 cats)
Oh thinks I enjoy vacccuming - very chauvinistic attitude - I'd love to come home or get up in the morning to crumb free floors but it will never happen“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Slowly settling into my new home. Internet is being fitted on Thursday . Mobile Internet is hit and miss. Doggies absolutely love it here with loads to look at. Birds, trees and a walking path right outside.
I'll be happy to never move again, soooo stressful!!!
Good Evening scamps
Glad you are settling into your new home.
Soon be Thursday
Hope your girlies like their new bedroom and are being good gals for you:rotfl::rotfl:

Is the book about the Kon Marie method etc I have adopted some of this and love it Jumpers rolled up socks, knickers all tidy and folded and only buying stuff that brings you joy Yes lots of my stash does that:T

I've done some of my drawers....is it similar to Kon Mari?
I like it how everything is folded so it stands up before you put it in your drawers.....own up......whose knickers can stand up unaided?:rotfl:
You beat me to the response again No cant do that but love all DH's t shirts standing up so they dont get crushed when he picks one0 -

No, my knickers can't.
BUT a few years ago I had a pair of my son's football sockets that were so stiff I had to bend them over to get them in the machine :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
