I might have to let him have his own Facebook page. His photos are rarely suitable for anyone under the age of 18:eek:
I admit to being totally nuts. The looks I get sometimes when I am setting him up for a pose:eek: use of bear started when I didn't want people taking my photograph so I took his instead. The worse bit is mum can be heard happily chatting away to him and times, she even pauses for an answer.
Choosing the poses is something everyone I am with can join in with and we do have a lot of fun. I sometimes do stage by stage photos so when you flick through iphone it looks like he is moving.
it is an eccentric part of my artistic streak that I enjoy.

Does anyone know when A's 'secret' meal deal ends? T's are reducing the fish and ice-cream back down to what it was before but not until 29th Mar to 8th Apr. Might be too late by then but maybe some new deal will start, although my local doesn't seem to want anyone to know about them!

Young drivers scare me with their confidence. Don't you wish you could condense a few years of experience into one of their driving lessons
Get them on the roads as soon as you can.
First on a bike, then a moped, then a motorbike, BEFORE the car
I cycled to and from JUNIOR school (going home for lunch) each day from the day I turned 10. (I had to pass my cycling proficiency test - a stipulation of the headmaster - NOT my parents)
I lived on one of the busiest roads (close to Rolls Royce and an iron foundry) and junior school was the other side the ring road.
I made a journey of over a mile 4 times a day, generally around peak times.
I continued to cycle, still returning home for lunch, when I moved to secondary school, now an extended journey of over 2 miles each way.
My elder brother was a motorcyclist and I had been going with him to watch him in "riding competitions" from around 9 years old. Organised by a local motor club on fields or tarmac (car parks) it involved multiple tests of riding round traffic cones or garden canes stuck in the ground in a designated manner, following a route against the clock, scoring points or being penalised for mistakes accordingly ....
OR
... NOT against the clock but on rough or slippery ground, up and down banks, over small rocks or logs or tree branches etc where slow riding and balance was required so that you didn't put your foot down otherwise you'd incur a penalty score.
Around 11 years old I started riding my brother's 50 cc motorbike that he used for this, just up and down the car park, after they had finished whilst they totaled the scores, worked out who had won and awarded the prizes.
Around 12 I started competing in the riding tests and immediately began beating adults that had been riding motorbikes for years and years. I regularly finished 2nd or 3rd by the time I was 13 and won my first event when I was 14.
I frequently beat my brother riding HIS bike that he rode many miles most days despite the fact that I never rode it from one driving test event to the next. I was a regular winner thereafter.
As soon as I was 16 I swapped my bike for a moped and went to school on that instead.
On my 17th birthday the moped was replaced by a 250cc Suzuki and I passed my motorcycle driving test on it just a few days later.
18 months of absolute pleasure going to and from school ensued during my 6th form years and A level education.
As soon as I was 18 Mum gave me a couple of driving lessons in her car, probably amounting to little more than 3 hours driving and that was all I needed. Apart from learning the specifics of the 3 point turn and reversing round a corner, it was basically just understanding the craft of car control - 4 wheels rather than 2, clutch control with your left foot instead of your left hand, steering wheel instead of handlebars.
I'd already been a road user for at least EIGHT years.
I'd been on a pushbike for over 6 years and went loads of places never mind school (country lanes to dual carriage ways) and pedaled well over 10,000 road miles during that period.
I knew the highway code before getting the moped (another 4000 miles) and easily passed that "knowledge" part of the exam when I took my motorcycle test, so it was just "a repeat" of the same for the car exam.
My Suzuki took me hundreds of miles to Dundee to my pillion passenger's grandma's at Easter and numerous other outings amounting to another 10,000 miles BEFORE I took my car test.
Indeed I'd probably got almost 2000 MOTORWAY miles under my belt BEFORE I even sat behind the wheel on Mum's car.
Now as a car driver I do understand how it is for cyclists and motorcyclists, and having been there, it definitely made me a better driver.
I still ride a motorbike, and occasionally cycle, but just give the ever increasing number of idiots a wide berth to allow their incompetence not to compromise me and my 2 wheels.
But still get them out there as soon as you can - I had ridden about 25,000 miles before I drove a car - trust me - it really helps.
