Hi cjj...I'm still around...a little down today as I managed to have cross words with DS this morning and I've been dwelling on it too much though out the day.....

Hoping we can sort it when he gets home soon...but I fear he's just going to tell me what I want to hear rather than what's really happening...

I've started to overthink a problem and its leading me down a dark road....I guess we've all been there at some point or other.

No advice on your friend and her text sorry...but I know someone will come along with some wise words for you xx

Aww so wished I lived near LEJC, you could pop round and I would put the kettle on and do my best to help you with everything xx

My take on it for what its worth.....You know what she is like, and if she has always been like that while you have been friends with her, then dont expect her to change. Decide if her friendship outweighs the stress it causes you, or not, and use that to decide.

Just in from work so not caught up.

Hope everything is going as well as it can today bubbs and family.

What do people think about this dilemma please.
I have a friend who is lovely but I've been really off put contacting her because she takes near on 2 weeks to respond to my texts. I texted her 12 days ago just to see how she was going on and I knew when I sent it that she would not reply there and then. Any how today I have had a text saying sorry not been in touch but would I like to go out for tea on Thursday. Don't really know what to say as tbh I'm a little bit annoyed as she knows how I dwell on things like this and it's been playing on my mind wondering if I've done something wrong. But it's always been this way so I concluded I hadn't. Really don't know what to text back. Tia xx

I think the question you should be asking yourself is do you WANT to meet with her, do you WANT to remain friends? And to be honest it sounds like you don't.

Do you think so E ? I would like to remain friends but I'm not sure I want to go out to tea at such short notice as I do have plans for Thursday daytime and as I'm out most of day I won't want to go out the night time. I just know that I really don't feel like sending anymore texts as it's stressful waiting weeks for replies xx

If you want to meet, text back suggesting a time you can make it, or call and explain.

And if you meet her broach the subject of late replies etc, see what her reaction is, some people are built that way and cannot change.

Cjj, I have a friend who sounds exactly like yours. If you don't want to go then don't, don't beat yourself up about it, you don't need to. It's your life, live it your way.

I got to the point with my friend where I was waiting forever for replies then I started making her wait for my answer. I hated doing it but it annoyed me so much.

LEJC, hope things are OK with you and your ds.

Bubbs, hope things have gone OK today xx

My Dgd this morning takes her blouse off the coat hanger that was on the radiator keeping warm for her and looks at the hanger and it says 2-3

    Grandma she says

No wonder my blouses are getting tight you getting them in the wrong size. I am 5 now REMEMBER

So I explain to her that just because it says that on the coat hanger does mean that the clothes on them are that size

Well they are in Asda she says so watch what you doing ....

Bless her last week the teachers told me that after a conversation with Dgd

That it is possible for her to wear the black leggings made of cotton rather than the tights that "itches " her legs for school
And that she could wear different coloured tights not always grey . Mmmm
And black trousers if they were better for her

Someone getting mugged here I thought and it's not just me

Yes this morning she wanted her royal blue tights on for school. ....

ROYAL BLUE of course don't itch her like the grey ones she is trying to

convince me this morning ...so I said ok I will tell the teacher you have the Royal blue ones on because they don't itch you
She says Grandma they can see for themselves they don't need you to tell them
So yes that is 3 adults she has managed to wangle her own way

So I hope she is as good with money when she grows up and wangles it a bit

Up until now when they go away hols etc I ask her if she wants some money to go with ...and she always replies the same I have my own money Grandma ...her. dad keeps telling her never to refuse money but I think she just thinks he is joking bless her .....god help us all when she hits her teens
