Moomin being discharged this morning after physio assessment :)

I've utterly miffed.. I had 4 hours sleep, spent 13 hours at the hospital.. not a single cuppa.. I got hom after 7pm, put the girls to bed.. then OH and DS3 startted bickering over some rice.. I had a bit of a wobbly (full on crazy tantrum!) and was in bed by 9.. OH came up and was told quite firmly to leave me alone.. if they cant be nice to me after a day like that they can sod right off.. they are all so selfish and don't actually give a flying fig about my feeling clearly.

Anyway.. OH seems to be hiding at school.. he is usually home about 5 past.. well, his coffee will be cold!

Nipping in quick between hospital and work,
Felt rather sorry for mil S appt was a waste of time and taxi money, got there for her to be told (again) that there is nothing they can do, nerve mapping shows old damage to static nerve and old fractures to vertebra which we knew about. But because of age and heart condition they can't risk an op which probs wouldn't improve anything anyway. Consultant got the brunt of that one for leaving things too late, I explained they gave her excercises to try 10 months ago to hopefully stimulate nerve blood supply but she's not been doing them. And she was surprised the leg brace is now permanent she thought leg would be cured and she could stop wearing it.
She was too busy complaining about the consultant and the lack of care at hospitals to even mention grandchildrens hair or wedding plans. Got her settled back home with a cuppa, the morning paper and her post

Having caffeine fix before braving the rain again, oh goody wet lunchtime my favourite (not)

Broke a brolly this morning so binned that.

    Happy dog coat knitting pigpen.

Pigpen no wonder you're fed up; I would be too. Hope you can chill this afternoon and plan what yarn to purchase etc for the dog jumper.

Mrs-MP sounds like a very frustrating morning for you.

Caught up with my typing only to be sent another lot which is over an hours worth of dictation! A did say she's really pleased and I'm doing amazingly well and has even asked me to cover for her when she's away - I've only been working for her since Friday!! Makes me feel good.

Going to vacuum the tip known as the living room now. I did wipe down the front door, dusted flat surfaces and swept the entrance hall plus got 2 pairs of wellies we don't use to go for recycling; DH will grumble and say they could go on fleabay but they're not in the best condition, heels gone etc, so just going to get rid. End of. New assertive Ali!!

    well done Mumof2.

Hugs to Pigpen - I know, I'm brave! You deserve support after a day like that, not stupid arguments.

Any plans to flutter have been abandoned. Had a bath and going to watch some trashy TV.
Feel fine, OH being kicked back into the office tomorrow, but DD2 will be over in the morning, and the afternoon will be peaceful. Can't wait!

Afternoon all - been busy directing mud deliveries all day and grovelling to a friend to move some of it with his dumper truck. Cost me a big bacon sarnie and several cups of coffee, but most of it moved to where we need it which has helped us enormously. Just waiting for the final delivery which may arrive while I'm on the school run. I can the shut the gate to the paddock and concentrate on dinner. Slow-cooked brisket, roasties and veg...yum..

Hope your family have bucked up their ideas Pigpen x Enjoy knitting coats for the woofers.

Well done on getting all your new work Mumof2 - must feel good to have such positive feedback!

The chickens need mucking out, but not sure I'll get time before the light goes - DH might have to do it under flood light.

LW Have you got a long list for Mr LW? Probably not as he seems to be fully domesticated. I dread to think what mine would entail!
The plan is to use my existing, colour-coded Flying list to ensure nothing gets missed, do the weekend tasks as we do currently, and then work together for a couple of hours each morning to get the rest done.:o He lived alone for 12 years before I moved in, and he does the tasks I can't manage already, so he's well used to housework. :A
I hope Oz is ok after his problems getting on the train; gentle (((HUG))) for him.
I feel fine today after yesterday's drama. Starting research on alternatives today.
Glad you're feeling better today, and I hope you can find a course of treatment that suits you and doesn't involve adverse reactions. x

    They'll be wonderful, I just know it.:o
I've seen some lovely dog coats that some of my guests have - little Dave the Yorkie has a hand-stitched tartan coat with his name embroidered on it.:D

Not feeling too well today; I keep smelling cigar smoke, but there's been no-one with cigars in here. Weird! :( Hopefully better tomorrow, as I have two little guests arriving.

Just me and S home this evening - had phone call from Z asking if she can stay at friends house; I spoke to her Mum who is lovely and she's more than happy with it so no Z to go and collect in the wind! Z has been having a really hard time of it with S thanks to 4 year age difference and she needs a bit of freedom sometimes; she does find it hard.

Lit the woodburner and Pip is toasting in front of it, funny little thing. Nice that it's still light outside isn't it; must remember to get the chooks in shortly.

Received another 2 jobs to do; this typing is really taking off now and I'm so pleased but still making time to clean and take time for myself rather than being plugged into the laptop all day long.

Lamewolf hope you feel better soon sweetheart - what little visitors have you got coming to stay?

    Frizz hope DS is OK.

How many chickens have you got Dizzy? We have 5 - 2 buff orpingtons and 3 little red hybrids. The little girls are laying but not the purebreds which we wouldn't expect at this time of year. Nothing like fresh eggs is there.

CY glad you had a nice soak in the bath instead of fluttering - I am sure that would have been much better for you :)

Time for another cuppa now then a spot more typing methinks.

Thanks; I get these "phantom smells" quite frequently - no idea what causes it, but it's really horrible! Mr LW is going to see to dins, bless him.:A It's only frying some veggie sausages and heating up l/o veg stew, so nothing onerous.

Tomorrow's arrivals are new guests - a Griffon named Rosie and a Yorkie Cross named Lucy; hopefully they'll settle in quickly. :o I've never met a Griffon before, so it should be interesting.
