Have a look at posts 356 and 357 on this thread. Basically you need to register as self-employed, and you will need to pay £2.20 a week NI if your profits exceed a certain level (which you would have to do a lot of AQA to do). Also you will need to fill in an annual tax self assessment form.

Help please, currently doing AQA test.

[STRIKE]If I give you all the questions will you give me the answers? [/STRIKE] :o

Can I use & instead of and?

Can I use abbreviations such as geo. instead of geographical?

Would a regular AQA be prepared to have a read through for me - have failed once and really don't want to fail again!

    Thanks.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • I just submitted my app form and answers. Hard going. took around 80 minutes.Thing is, the email arrived in my account on Friday morning and I didn't get to do it until now. It says send back within 48 hrs of receipt.
Grr.. I hope it don't matter. Really could do with the extra money.

sorry, guess this is a bit late now, but yes, you can use & to save 2 precious characters. Use figures for numbers, too. But don't use abbreviations such as geo. Everything needs to be in proper sentences. For example: Say, "it's cheaper to catch the train to Yorkshire" rather than "cheaper to catch train to Yorkshire".

    good luck

I just got this email, and now I'm a bit worried as I didn't put my address in my email. Do they sent stuff via the post? Or just email/online?

I just got rejected and i wish I knew why! I answered all the questions and followed the rules as far as i can gather???? How long should I leave it? Has anyone reapplied straight away? Really wanted this job as I could fit it around the children. Dammit. Really disappointed.
