Makes me wonder if it is worthwhile doing in terms of the money. Perhaps I could try it out for 2 months and see if it rakes in the sort of money I'd be hoping

How much would you like to be earning? Full time or part time?? If you give a rough figure I can give a (very) rough idea of how many hours you'd need to put in a month.

I would say maybe at least £90+ per week after tax. Would be able to put in lots of hours at the moment, but as my part time course at University gets more involved will have a little less time then. Would be good if you could give a quick approximation :) Thank you
  • I got in! :j

Can't believe it, am so pleased!

Heres to a bit of extra money!

Oh, whats this 30 questions thing...?

Acc. to wiki one large grain of sand is 4 microlitres.
    1000 microlitres = 1 millilitre
So there are 250 grains of sand in 1 millilitre
Acc. to google an imperial pint equals 569 millilitres
    So 250 x 569 = 142250 grains of sand.

That took me 3 mins. It doesn't sound right - but that would be the numbers I would crunch.

I reckon you need to assume that a grain of sand is spherical, so will not fill 100% of the container. Close-packed spheres fill approx. 0.74048 of the volume of the container, 0.74048 x 142250 = 105333.

    ;-)
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

  • On my test, I got the question 'how many footballs does it take to fill the new Wembley stadium?' - this took me a good 15 mins to find out. If I'm going to get lots of questions in this vein, I think this may be a time waster.

How exactly would that be calculated? With a quick search I found this:
The new Wembley encloses 4,000,000 m3 (cubic metres) inside its walls and under its roof. This is the equivalent of 25,000 double decker buses or 7 billion pints of milk.
I then used various online formula calculators to establish the volume of a football. For a ball with a 70cm circumference I was given a volume of 0.00579 m3. That doesn't seem correct to me?

    Thanks in advance.

    A 70cm circumference means a radius of 0.1114m (circum = 2*pi*radius)
Volume of a sphere radius r is 4/3*pi*r^3
ie 1.3333*pi*(0.1114)^3 = 0.0058 cubic meteres so your calc is correct (for that size of football).

I got accepted and sent the email about downloading something to answer the trial 30 questions within a week.

BUT it's been 6 days, during which all my kids and my husband have been down with a vomiting/temperature bug and I've been run off my feet looking after them all. Added to that, I've just gone down with a temperature....

Anyway, I thought I'd try and download what I needed anyway so I could start to think about it even if I was a bit woozy, and it doesn't download. It comes up with an error message instead. I have Open Office not MS Word - could this be the problem? Has anyone else had this problem?

Help! Don't want to find I can't do the job/lose it, as I'm really quite keen.....
  • Sorry you've all been ill :( Send an email today to the person who sent you the email with the instructions and explain your problem. They're nice people, so better to explain your trouble than just let the time run out or do it while you're feeling ill.

    hope you feel better soon
