mrsspendalot: my skip rate was 53% when I had my first review and 48% on my second but nothing was said about it. My hard question percentage was 55% and 31% though so you might be right about that. As a follow up to my previous post I actually passed my second review somehow, although I don't know how so all is well although I had one or two very nervous hours.

• I have got it down to 50% today, lol. I don't know when my 2nd review will be - nothing was said. Managed to get my average answer time down to just over 1 minute though which is fab. Just earned £21 in 2 hours :)

• I think, in answer to the skip rate question, you have to decide whether answering quicker or skipping fewer is more important. Obviously if you answer more questions quicker you make more money, but that could be at the expense of those more tricky questions which take longer to answer (thus affecting the skip rate). I'm making less money than £20 an hour at the moment, but my skip rate is also lower. But it also depends on the time of day you're available to answer - I've noticed already that some times of day there seem to be a higher portion of quite hard questions!
I make use of all the resources they recommend on the KES Help pages - especially for finding out about people. Also try not to just use Google - use of other online databases (yell.com for phone numbers) and using the phone to call places for things like closing times helps find more answers.
HTH :)

I only skip the questions I can't find an answer to or don't know where to look for the answer. I'm not deliberately skipping questions just because I can't answer them in a few seconds or anything. That is just how the timing has worked out today, but there were loads of questions that were already in the database which speeds things up a lot. I seem to struggle with the ones about people's names and where they come from. I try all the links they suggest but never find anyone! So those are the ones that I tend to have to skip so often.

I do my answering in the morning, across lunch and some at night.

been trying for the last hour to send an application to jobs@aqa.63336.com, but each time it keeps failing delivery of the email? can anyone confirm this is the correct address to be sending initial applications?

thanks

I've just this minute sent off my application and my test. I really enjoyed doing the test (had to miss out one question though), so I am certain I'd love the job.

Judging by the amount of people that have been rejected recently, I won't get my hopes up though.

I used that address and got an auto-acknowledgement ok.
• MrsSpendalot - I also find the ones with specific names hard :( Especially as they are quite common. I find it hard to know whether it's best to go 'neutral' and offer some general 'this name means' or to go out on a limb and give specific details about someone. I think it depends on how much info they give you - but it's not an easy one. My SR seemed to think that giving the general info was better than nothing....
