Still trying to work out what being self employed means in terms of paying tax, and how it affects tax credits etc. Can anyone who is already AQA ing and has sorted the tax side out please PM me! I just want to make sure it is financially worth it before I send my contract in. Thanks.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Thanks for that Paul. Just wondering, it may be a stupid question but where do you sorce your stupid questions? i mean did you just give an anser in the way it said then quote something like google as a resource or did you actually find a site with a silly answer to the silly question if you get what I mean. Sory for all the quetions just curious as I've failed twice now
and last time I didn't have an answer under 151.

Just to let everyone know, AQA are recruiting in the UK again today!0

Fishface, you could try Texperts http://www.texperts.com/ they do the same thing. But I would consider trying AQA again as I got in on my 2nd attempt (you know what to expect 2nd time round
)
Bax, the the seriously silly questions like for example one of my test questions was 'how should I dump Mary?', I just put whatever I thought would be a decent answer and wrote 'common sense' in the source box! Plus, I also put more than one source in the box for other questions as I often got my answer then double checked it elsewhere, or used a combination of both. Those that are already working - is there a constant stream of questions or do you log in some times and there is no work to do? How much do you reckon you are earning per week average? I am trying to estimate what will happen to tax credits when I start, so I need to have an estimate earnings figure to play with. I don't have another job - this will be it for me, so I can spend a fair amount of time working. Thanks in advance. Sorry for so many questions!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

There have always been questions to answer since I've been doing it, the lowest I've seen is 30 but that was only once. There's usually at least 100 and on Friday/Saturday nights it's more like 500+ :eek:
I haven't quite worked out my earnings on it yet as I'm yet to do it regularly, I just do a whole day then leave it for a week!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

I had a question about lost socks and, using Google, found two sources regarding theories on what happens to missing socks! I also referred to advice sites for any "agony aunt" type questions that I had.
As Jo's said though, that was probably overkill. I think it's also good to have multiple sources on a couple of questions to show depth of research - I think I put two sources for one or two of my answers.
Hope the third attempt is successful!0 -
Wow! Ok. So Friday and Saturday nights you can earn quite a bit then! I think I will just have to start, get a feel for how many questions I can answer and decide how many hours a week I can set aside for it. I think you get a month to tell tax credits of change in circumstances, by which time I will have something to go on at least for earnings potential.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
