I had my introduction to KES last night, and answered my 30 questions. It went OK but I'm a bit worried because I noticed a word out of place in one answer due to my not rewriting it properly. Also, my skip rate was 50%, though it does say that above 45 is allowable for the first review.

That said, my hard questions rate was higher than the minimum level. I can't remember exactly what it was but it was above 20%.

Oh well, nothing I can do now but wait... my SR is away until Saturday so I guess I won't hear anything until then at the earliest. I feel like I'm waiting for exam results!

Paul, whilst I was doing my induction I had to skip 15 questions when trying to find my test question, I was concerned after doing my 30 questions as my skip rate was so high but my SR said they are not too worried about the skip rate in your first 30 questions, they are more concerned with spelling, punctuation and grammer so I wouldn't worry too much. Your SR will now 'mark' the questions and you will go through all the comments and discuss. Don't panic, I'm sure you've done fine

Thanks for the information, Jo. I'm still a bit worried about my extraneous word in one of my answers, but other than that I think my spelling, grammar and punctuation were fine.

I did enjoy it, despite being a touch nerve-wracking! One of the hard questions I answered was about Frank Sidebottom, of whom I am a big fan and could probably have written a full biography rather than just 153 characters! I was pleasantly surprised to see that question on the list.

Thanks to you and everyone for all the advice and encouragement in this thread, it's been essential reading throughout my application.

It was a week for me. I think 6-7 days seems to be the norm at the moment going off feedback in this thread.

Thanks for that .... only my email seems to be playing up today and would hate to miss an email from them!

make sure you check your junk email - my acceptance (and i think others') ended up in the junk folder so could have been missed and deleted!! :eek:

I can't believe you did your 30 so quickly! Well done :T I did my into on Monday and I've just finished my 30 Found it really hard actually, I think I was getting a bit involved. My skip rate was only about 40% tho Anyway, hope I did ok with them! Hope you did too

I didn't realise I'd done so many! I just got immersed in it. I was upset about my skip rate but hopefully it won't be held against me.

I think I rushed it a bit too much, hence my answer with a word in the wrong place. I'm still annoyed about that.
