I....also failed to get in AGAIN!! and they just won't tell me what I'm not doing right. I don't often feel the need to vent but on this application every answer was researched well (I thought) and there wasn't one under 150 characters, and still I got that bloody automated "we've decided not to take your application any further" mail. Hi can someone help me please ..... I have just had a reply saying they can't open the test and application form I sent back as its in a different format .... can anyone helpme, I'm sooo not technial!!! I don't have excel so I ownloaded the openoffice thing that was mentioned earlier in this thread and did the test and application form through that. What do I need to do ???? Many thanks xxx

Great, finally heard back from AQA and have been accepted. My partner was turned down tho and I thought his answers were better and he has a degree but I guess you just never know what they're looking for

hiya, i used openoffice as well - you have to make sure that when you save the file, it's saved as an .xls (Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP) file and NOT as a .ods (OpenDocument Spreadsheet) file.

Open it up, go to File > Save As > "Save As Type" = Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP and then send it to them again

I've just got accepted so just need to print the contract off, sign it and send back :j

Can anyone help with how you declare your earnings tho, cos I work full-time with PAYE so never had to do it before and I want it to be all above board

I have just sent off my test and form. I'm not overly optimistic though .... I struggled with the character count!
