Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that Rain.
I know that some people have emailed and asked for feedback, so they could improve their applications next time. Sometimes they let you take the test again - quite a few DFW'ers have got in second time round.
There's nothing to stop you applying again on the next round of recruitments - you might have just got a particularly tricky set of questions.
I'd send them an email asking where you went wrong.

Rain, I was refused the first time I applied, tried again a few weeks later and was accepted. It might be because they've hit their quota, not because you did anything wrong. Try again
Plus I'd recommend buying the book, I think it's called the end of a question mark or something (you can get it on Amazon), it'll give you some pointers on how to answer the questions. Good luck if you try againDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Thanks for this! Have just emailed and fingers crossed! I have tried before but was always too late!! Have got a degree but my spelling is not great! Can you spellcheck? Jack looking at your progress with interest! Go for it! Any hints for the application etc (if I get that far?..) Keep the questions rolling in! That alone is highly amusing!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Hey fishface,
good luck with your application - they have a range of different question sets they send out, so I'm afraid I can't give you any hints there!
You can spellcheck, but the best advice is to make sure you write in full sentences as much as possible and squeeze as much info as possible. The character limit is 153, and I try never to have less than 145 in my answer.
If you have any questions when you get the application pack, just post here or PM me, I'd be happy to help as much as I can.
read a great one from their wee booklet yesterday: "Help! Aliens turned me into a toothbruch and locked me in the bathroom cabinet! What do I do?"
ANS: "If you are a toothbrush, AQA recommends tapping on the inside of the door to attract attention, using your bristles to pick the lock, or texting a friend."
LOL. :rotfl:Brilliant.

Thanks DJ! Why the user name BTW? Maybe the AQA people are having a bit of the white stuff while replying from that answer!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Same here - I replied on Friday night, it took me just over 2 hours to complete the test, mainly due to trying to fit all the information into 153 characters.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

They never contacted mine, but that was 6 months ago. Things change fast. For those working for AQA is it true that there is a problem with "Top Management", possibly a split. I heard a rumour that PC has left and will be starting his own thing soon, taking along some few SRs.0
