I am in need of food.. I burnt out my motivation for today I think, or maybe I just need more tea and more sugar!!

I have 1 window, 2 window sills to do in the kitchen and it is all sparkly for the first time since birds took to the air!

I have the front room to whizz over and vacuum under the sofas and the hallway to sweep for tomorrows list unless Lil_me surprises us with a change of scenery! Oh.. I MUST vacuum the lamp.. it has a furry coat on which I hadn't noticed until last night!!

I have the landing to clear tomorrow because it is really cluttered and the drawers won't close and I need them to!

Best go peel some spudatoes for dinner to go with our chicken.. hubby will be home shortly.. well he better be or his dinner is going in the children! I Might get the iron out and press DD4's pinafore seams while dinner cooks.. as well as wash the remaining window and the 2 sills and the table needs a wipe too!

    tea first... cuppa anyone???

I wasn't worried when the other 2 started it is more the fact he as SEN 's and I know the high school haven't got anything set up for him.. gimme a week lol!!

Why is that!!! Not anything set up for him yet? Here the SEN kids and parents have review meetings where every need gets noted, it is now part of the new disability inclusion law (or something like that) that kids with special needs get the education and special adaptations (in my DD case enlargement of worksheets, books, exam papers etc) at the same time as their classmates. That also includes classroom assistants. If they fail to provide this they can get in big trouble...

You are more that capable to knock that lot into shape. You go girl.

We got told this morning at the ENT clinic that my DD1 will finally get her operation to restore her eardrum in October!! She has a new youngish consultant and she was keen to get it done. DD is over the moon, although there are no guarantees that she will ever be without hearing aids.

    Now about the cleaning....

Spent all morning at hospital so this afternoon phoned oven repair man, coming on Wednesday. Tried to deepclean the oven with bio washingpowder and its made my hands all yucky and dry, but oven looking much better.

still to finish off the kitchen, will do after the DD2 club run and will try and find one of those scrapers for those flat cookertops (halogen) in the supermarket. Or where do you buy them?

Welcome newbies, your life and house will be transformed...

better go and take DD to gymnastics, will read all posts later.. AFTER I have done the kitchen...

He is 'only' on school action plus and so long as the relevant info is there before the 3rd week of term it is ok.. apparently.. They don't have a copy of his IEP, his ed psych reports.. nothing!! He has severe dyslexia, moderate severe dyspraxia 2yr social development delay and to top it all.. he is on growth hormone replacement so is tiny!! he is 12 in January and has age 10 trousers.. and that is WITH 4 year of growth hormone injections!! .. they NEED to know why he can't write as fast as everyone else and get anxious and confused (and it isn't only because he has a loopy mother lol!!)

anyway.. it means I get to kick off somewhat and make demands and stomp on people.. :D.. I'm VERY good at such things!!

Other than that it is because they are all competely incompetant!!!!!! The only good hting is we have the same SENSS so she has worked with DS2 since he was 7 so knows where we are at.

Which reminds me she was meant to be doing an assessment of DS3 just after easter and I've heard nothing.. time to jump on her again I think.

OH.. the other thing.. in January we were meant to be getting a transition report for DS2 to take to high school from the ESPD (education for special and physical disability) and they never did it!!!!!!! (they saw him in May and in January) I have a letter of complaint ready to take when they go back on Wednesday.. IF I can find out where they are based now as their offices were destroyed in the floods in June.

That sounds fantastic for DD.. I do hope it restores even a percentage of her hearing!!! I can't believe they leave them so long for something so vital!!!! My mother has 2 hearing aids and I know how her life was affected before she got them.

Love the mouse Pigpen, is it a pet or did they find a wild one? and cheers for the tip about vinegar, should of thought of it before - cleaned the windows this morning with my vinegar spray Doh.

Quote : he is on growth hormone replacement so is tiny!! he is 12 in January and has age 10 trousers.. well my DS who hates me telling everyone, is tall but tiny, I've just bought him new boxers as his old ones have holes in - they still fit aged 8 - 9 and he was 15 in July :rotfl:

Oh and Becca I hope you have more will power than I have, supposed to restart my gluten free diet as of today and I just blew it as DD had made muesli munchies and they smelt too good to resist. I cant do diets they kill me mentally

  • Hello you chatty lot!

I banished myself from the site today.
Today was DS's first day at junior school. He looked so grown up and smart in his uniform this morning!
As he is now going to a school 5 minutes from where we live on my non working days I now have an extra hour as I don't have the bus travelling time to do.

So today I have cleaned the kitchen, utility room, dining room and lounge.
My first day back at work tomorrow for 6 weeks so don't want a lot to do when I get in!
I'm going to leave the floor washing until then I think as now I've sat down to catch up I don't want to do anything more.
Went to the tip with DH this morning and got rid of most of the stuff rom the garden and shed we needed to have gone.
Done half the ironing from the basket full.
Written out 2 greetings cards for birthdays later this month.
Rung the hospital to make my apt.
Sent emails to arrange a night out.
    Made lunches for tomorrow.
Put 2 loads in the WM.

Hope all goes ok for those with children starting back tomorow including lil_me,pigpen and hopeElizzy.
Michelle- hope your first day back today went well.
Becca- sending you lots of support in your giving up smoking quest.
Buffy and MessyTessie- welcome to the thread, everyone here is so supportive and it's the best place to be for getting your home sorted.
    Maralum- remember it's 'baby steps'!
sexymouse- good to hear your shoulder feels better today.
Jamiedodger- i love Chichester for shopping, sometimes go there with my mum and sister for a christmas shopping day out.

Hugs and hellos to anyone I haven't mentioned.
    Have a great evening.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Pigpen: Yuck Yuck, very yuck and yuck again, could your kids not play with dollies or cars or figures or something??????? Or have you sold them all on ebay?? clever though, thinking it needed a bath first :rotfl:

Still have kitchen to do, couldn't find scraper in Tesco, will soak the whole lot in the bath tonight, what do you suggest: bio washing powder or soda crystals??

Want to make a start on living room as I am working tomorrow (paid job)

Sorry Becca, didn't mean to make you crave ciggies when talking on the phone. Well done, day one nearly over, go to bed early.
