    Hello everybody on here

My name is Ollie and I've just 'shined my sink' for the first time!

Why does that feel like the opening sentence at an addicts group meeting?

Looking forward to taking my first 'babysteps' - one day at a time, Ollie - one day at a time!

Just a quick line. My computer died last Friday - just got it back today but it's still playing up so I could easily disappear again. I've been keeping up with the normal stuff (no excuse really!)

Evening all :hello: DD is in a foul moaning mood and is being all pathetic (hysterically crying because she could see lights on the ceiling even though I had explained it was just sun reflecting off car windows as they went past :mad: ) so shes infront of Cbeebies until OH comes in then he can deal with her (HIS idea - said after 5 weeks of her non-stop except for 1 weekend he was in charge of her whenever he is home :D:j:j and no I won't swap him :p ) .

I managed to get in a huge walk my pedometer currently reads 22536 which is about 7 miles :D:j:j So I should easily hit 2300, if not 2500 by bedtime :j I can feel the benefits - but the nurse wasn't happy with me at the doctors :o My blood pressure was high, so I explained I'd was late leaving so I'd rushed there on foot as its the quickest way so she let me calm down and took it again  More normal but still on the high side of normal so I also explained that DD had only just gone back to school yesterday and I've been under alot of stress so she's let me off :o I swear that when I go back in 6 months I will be in the 14+ stone catergory and not the 15+ as I am now, and much fitter :D:j:j

    Update :
    • [strike]Dishes[/strike]
    • [strike]Kitchen S&S[/strike]
    • [strike]Wash load?[/strike] Towels in & now out on the line :D
    • Packed lunches x 2
    • [STRIKE]Evening meal[/STRIKE]
    • Dishes again after tea ;)
    • [strike]Doctors[/strike]
    • Hoover & dust bedrooms. - will do tomorrow ;)
Southern chicken breasts & salad for tea by DD's request...even better :D Laters

Hello everyone, boy have I been busy, here is me thinking when the kids go back I'll have loads of time on my hands! Flying is at about zero level just been hectic, will do my room tonight.

We're getting the Zafira :D downside is not until the 23rd or something :( DPs insurance refusing to let him transfer it onto the new car, want him to start a new policy and loose 11 1/2 months of no claims earned (even if we're finished the installments) yes I lost my temper but garage agreed to keep it for us until then.

DS1 seems to be enjoying new school, he's 'trying hard to cope in the hall but is finding it VERY difficult' his home school diary is fab, they're set out as aimed at the kids with loads of info etc in. Fingers crossed it keeps going well!

Hope everyone else is ok, welcome to the newbies :) hope all of the kids have gone back to school ok. Will be back later with list.
One day I might be more organised...........

Ggggrrrr ... someone ate my post!!!

The shoes I bought on holiday for DDs '3 and 4 don't fit properly.. DD3's look like she had had them a month after one days wear as they ae simply too big! and DD4's are slipping off her feet and making her heels all red.. so I've had to buy new ones for those 2 (I am taking the others back to the local clarks shop and kicking up a fuss!!) I also had to buy DS3 shoes and trainers for DD3 and 4 as well.. and not to be left out DD5 had a growth spurt in the shop I swear so I had to get her some more too.. that was a pretty quick £172!!!

FORTUNATELY!!!! I made £200 on my ebay sales today and 2 paid up immediately so I transferred the money to my account straight away so that will cover the cheques I wrote

Dinner is cooking so the gremlins can go to bed early.. DS3 has been a little !!!!!! since I picked him up.. new teacher, new routine, new rules etc... I HATE it!!! Give him 2 months he should have calmed down.

DS2's alphasmart is in for servicing and will be delivered back to school once it is done.

They have trashed the back room since they got home!

BUT.. the loo is still stripped!! HA!!!

    Wednesdays delightful dailies!!!

    3 binbags to charity shop
Measure up the french doors for curtains.. it is getting really cold in there on a night and making my hoppies shiver I don't want them getting king cough!!
    FAVOURITE TASK OF THE DAY!!!!
    find uniforms for tomorrow!!!!!

[strike]I would like to finish stripping the walls in the loo IF I get chance.[/strike] Done that.. hubby is getting some hardboard so I don't have to sand the wall.. then he can do that and Friday I'll paint it!!

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Wipe 2 remaining messy windowsills
Clear the remainder of the rubbish on the worksurface.. it looks really good in there. hubby didn't move his so I am going to fling it willy-nilly into the shed!!

Hmmm... housework... none. Well, PILED the dishes at the side of the sink, cups are soaking.

Kids bedroom, first coat of paint is on! Woohoo!

Thats about it... but my list, oh my god my list...

Clear kids beds so they can SLEEP in them.
    Take DS1 to anchor boys
    Collect DS1 from anchor boys
Tidy away painting stuff and clean painting stuff
    Wash dishes
    MOP FLOOR, no wait,
    MOP FLOOR!!!!
    Varnish wardrobe
Sort the washing at the very least, hopefully iron some of it
Have a shower or bath, because lady, you STINK!

I am sure there is more. I will need LOTS of coffee for this!
  • Just washed up the tea things and they are draining whilst I catch up on everyone's posts from today.

Had a lunch break whilst at work today and wandered around the shops ON MY OWN! Went to Primark and bought 6 things in the sale which cost me a grand total of £7.

Since being in I've stripped our bed and will go and vac and remake in a mo.
Tried on my new clothes and put one load in the WM.
Helped DS with his homework, he's not liking the joined up writing thing. I don't do joined up writing now at 39 unless I'm doing a quickly scrawled note.

    So still to do is
    drying up
    make lunches for tomorrow
    remake bed
    dust bedroom
    vac bedroom
maybe ironing depending on how my aching side is after that lot

Denise- chocolate is a great soother in times of stress!
HopeElizzy- extra hug for you and your friends just now
AnW's mum- is there any ironing left now???
Jill- sounds like you had a very productive day, nice to get bargains to go away for Christmas pressies
sexymouse- hope you get your car sorted ok
pigpen- way to go on getting the loo stripped
Ollie- welcome to the thread, hope you find it useful
Pollybear- hope you get your computer issues sorted, I hate it when we have problems, feel so lost without it!
lil_me- pleased to hear DS is getting on well with school, excellent news that the garage will hold the car for you
    tiamai_d- how's that floor looking??

Right better go and do something from my list.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
