    Hello everyone,

Been working all weekend, and managed to hurt my shoulder at work yesterday (I think it's cos the plates are SOOO HEAVY). I was the only one waitressing, and we had a busy lunch hour, so I didn't get home til 4.30, and by the time I'd taken the washing down and talked to my neighbour, it was 5.00pm, so I just didn't feel like making myself lunch. Called OH and asked him to bring me something home, but he said he was on his way, and would make something when he got in - cheese on toast (yummy). Then I watched silent witness with him (recorded) and had a snooze before ordering chinese for dinner cos I was still in pain, and I thought I deserved a night off for coming £21.36 under budget for food last month. :j

Went to work today, and my shoulder feels worse now. Plus someone stole my wages out of the till and the landlord found the envelope and my pay slip torn up in the sanitary bin in the ladies loo! Luckily in a way, I'd been underpaid by 3 hours, so they didn't get as much as they could have done and the landlord paid me the correct amount when he realised that my hours had been added up wrongly. Looks bad though, cos either it was one of the other staff (I let them check my bag and the 2 other girls did too), or someone who knew that the wages were in an envelope, and knew how to access the till. Plus a table walked off without paying for their drinks (£9.30) so a bad day really. Being new, it looks like I did it, but why would I steal my own wages and tear up the slip? It's horrible to think that it could have been a member of staff, cos I get on with them all.

Pigpen, have you got any lavender essential oil, cos I find putting that on my bites helps (it is a natural antiseptic too), or you could try witch hazel.

Am working all week this week at the temp job (I think you're right about it being a good thing Solway, or else I'd need to buy new clothes to accomodate the extra inches added). Also working all day on Saturday, so will probably take it easy on Sunday. May get OH to do a couple of things for me on Friday - he did a load of washing for me today, but also destroyed the clean kitchen by sanding all the filler on the walls down, and letting dust get everywhere

    Well enough of the moaning.
I hope everyone has a good week, especially once they reclaim their houses from the kids.

    Sexymouse xx

    Evening All

Very little done in the way of flying today, more maintaining;) .

DH cooked bacon butties for littles for brekkie and sausage butty for me - yummy, he even did the dishes after it.

Beach idea got rained off (although the rain only came at 7pm tonight:mad: ), so we went on a dog hunt. Went to one rescue centre but they had no dogs suitable for our littles age group. Popped to the other RSPCA centre on way home and same story there. Hubby thinks we should get a puppy anyway and has been looking for "suitable" breeds on the internet for an hour this pm (whilst playing everquest  - "well I can do 2 things at once says he", news to me :rotfl: ). His research has come up with a Finnish Spitz.

    Tomorrow I shall

    Do the kitchen list
Amend tesco shop due for delivery on Tuesday
    Pay chunk off phone bill:mad:
Hillarys blinds man coming - so £20 via quidsco for requesting call :money:
Ironing (will set timer for half hour)
Think of something to do with the littles:confused:

DD1 does not start school until 12th for am session, pm session on 13th, Friday off:confused: and then full time from 17th. DD2 has her first preschool session on 17th pm - 2 1/2 hours of childfree time:j :D :j . Will feel very strange when they are both away from me but am sure I will get used to it VERY quickly:D .

DD1 has had no "episodes" for 3 days now so life has been much easier on that front.

Early night I think, scoffed big bar of galaxy last night and then I couldnt get to sleep.

    Night All x
  • I'll be in the best i can, although i don't know what will get done as i am already thinking it will be a strange week. It will either be really good going back to work or i will feel really stressed and hate every minute of it.

Also, my period is late, and no sign of it yet, so i will be watching that situation with interest. No preference which way it goes as we would be happy with another monkey, but i have only just started thinking of work again, and it is a busy year socially next year with weddings and parties and goodness knows what else.

    Anyway, plan for me:

    Monday the 3rd of September:

    Shell2001 Finnish Spitz?

They can be prone to bouts of barking for no reason, tend to be hyperactive and they are a hunting dog which could cause problems if you have cats, rabbits or hamsters etc.

You have to be very firm and consistent to train them to be quiet. They don't like boisterous households, and can have issues with who the boss is... Not for first time dog owners!

But like anything, research and if you find a breeder, go see what they are like before making a decision.

Michelle, heres hoping for a nice outcome for you, one way or the other!

Shell spaniels generally all have lovely temperaments and are great with kids. We had a Welsh Springer Spaniel, he was one of the livelier spaniels butgreat fun all the same :)

Good luck michelle with the return to work and to all the other teachers and new school starters.

  • Ta for the new thread Lil_me.
Sexymouse, hope that shoulder eases off and what a thing that was about your wages!!

Right (ooh, there's a statement to start with!) I've been through the freezer and updated my list on the front and done a meal plan up to next Saturday. Been through my internet banking statements and shuffled imaginary money around. Made a hit list for the week.
I think I'll be mostly Flying 'off list' this week but I'm going to try and keep it day and room relevant IYSWIM.
    So tomorrow it'll be
    S&S of the kitchen
    Make Gingercake for lunchbox treats
Fill some holes in the wall
    Start sanding paintwork

I've started doing the suggestion made a few weeks ago of putting darks straight into the WM and lights in the basket. Suiting me well, as I only do about 4 washes a week at most and I do't like rummaging and re-sorting every couple of days to see if I've enough.

That's me done for the night, off to bed to start a new book (and to stop me smoking) Becca, you've re-planted the 'Quit' seed in my head. Willing you on from afar tomorrow!

  • I *think* I'm in this week - I'll have to see how it goes. I know I won't be doing any flying tomorrow, as I'm meeting hubby at the pub after work so I can tell him how my first day as a student went.

Well I'm pleasantly tired, having come back from the gym and stuffed my face silly with roast chicken and roast tatties. We didn't even have room for the crumble left-over from last night!

Michelle - good luck with your first day back tomorrow.

Right, time to phone mum and dad, and then I'll try and get an early night.

    Night night all,

lil_me - as usual thanks for the new thread :)

becca - hiya! Yes I am still here, nothing doing, lots of twinges but thats about it!

sexymouse - hope your shoulder gets better, nightmare ab out your wages, I'm glad they still paid you.

Good luck everyone who has littlies going back to school this or who are back to work- esp you Michelle. And how exciting on the lateness - keep us informed !!! Also on the Asda photo thing there is a free first 10 prints offer on as well, you may have to hunt arond for it and maybe its for first time customers only though.

I've got another week of [STRIKE]torture[/STRIKE] fun with my kids, they dont start til the 11th  DS school starts tomorrow but Reception dont start til week 2 and they stagger it within week 2 and he is starting Tuesday. DD\ preschool for some reason always starts a week later and she doesn go on Mondays therefore she starts Tuesday too. I have got out-of-the-house stuff planned for every day this week, just want to survive it at any cost.

Shell sounds like you are in the same boat. And glad your weekend has been a bit calmer. Ours has too, DS has been excellent with the loo over the wekeend so I haven't been stressing/shouting so much:T
