    Taken from the article.

Dec 2015. Switched from the Co-op to Yorkshire Bank – received £150.
Dec 2015. Tried to switch from Yorkshire Bank to HSBC but gave up.
Feb 2016. Switched from Yorkshire Bank to TSB – received £100.

Not entirely convinced that was even possible (also not quite sad enough to check though)

Yeah, I'm not convinced you could switch to YB in December and receive the cash quickly enough to start another switch in the same month.

I am eyeing up that Halifax offer that is ending/changing soon but the only donor account I have is a metro cash acc (useless, doesn't even allow direct debits) that has only been open a week.

You need to apply by March 22 but the account switch won't need to be complete then, so I wouldn't worry that the account hasn't been open long enough. I consider it bad form to request a cheque book or card reader if you're opening an account purely to switch it.

Sometimes you don't have a choice, eg with TSB Classic, as one is sent automatically!

I'm talking about their Classic account, not the Classic Plus account.

Yeah and Barclays online banking is practically impossible to use without a card reader, so you may have to get one.
