  • Tonight I hatched a genius plan to begin to rid myself of seven bottles of hair serum. I use one single pin head of it when I dry my hair. I don't think I've gone through even a thimble full in my entire life. How in the heck am I going to use up seven (gifted) bottles...

I'm nothing if I'm not creative so I thought I'd pump out a handful and use it as a hot oil, pre-wash contitioner kind of thing. That would get it used up a treat...

I've now shampooed four times and can't get it out. :T Well done.

Next plan - Squirt it on a shower curtain and let the kids slip around for a while! haha
It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

OK am going to put my figures on now as don't think I'll UU anything else today :-

INs first : 24! - I bought a few items as they were bargains (LD nail file, Bm Primer and Rimmel foundation), a couple of treats : UD Blush palette and MAC Patisserie lipstick which is gorgeous now it has been replaced), the Birchbox items are included in this tally (was good and didn't buy the TC Birchbox), received Mothers Day and belated birthday gifts and lastly some items were necessary : blades, Defluff and shampoo.

UU: 25 a lot of which were items of Bodycare. Loved using Avon Planet Spa, Hawaiian Tropic and Bliss body butters this month. Didn't love Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin so much.

SOLD : 7 - still have some items listed.

    GA: 4

    TA : 4

All in all 40 items removed from stash so pretty good.

From my PP list though I still have the following lingering on :-

    Clynol leave in conditioner
    Vich eye cream
Laura Geller Bronze n Brighten - now added to 7 by Summer challenge
    Laura Geller eyeliner

    My 7 by Summer update:-
LG eyeliner can't roll up product to ascertain how much left due to constant breakages
Benefit Boing (more pan showing but reckon enough to get me through April)
    Benefit Lemon Aid (ditto)
Laura Geller Bronze n Brighten - probably same amount of pan. Need to make more effort to use this
Smashbox It Girl lipgloss - UU! - will replace with another old lipgloss
OPI mini Red Lights Ahead ... Where? - have repainted my nails with this today and am calling time on it as was struggling to get product on the brush. Will pull another from my stash.
Elemis Evening Blooms oil - am rubbing on cuticles at night. Will probably start applying as body oil and chucking into bath water.

Need to shop my stash for replacement Bodycare and think I'll be pulling out more soaps and a Jack Wills set (rescued from Emma's declutter so need to UU soon).

Still have some Daisy left but bored of this and will replace with a Jack Wills body spray for now.

Lastly another fave this month has been the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean cleanser : great make up remover.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I still, need to sort out my 7 for summer list but will wait until the April thread is started so I don't have to remember to carry it over as well as my main list.
I do feel much more under control the only things that have been coming in for a while are gifts and necessaries like soap and deodorant. I didn't even bother buying snow fairy last Christmas as the girls all said they still had some stashed and it was starting to seperate so they want to get it all used up and maybe start afresh next year. I have enough bubble bath in for several years so seriously don't need to buy that.
My main hording came from if I saw products like body lotion, bubble bath etc cheap I would buy them thinking it was a bargain regardless of how much I already had in. Then I'd be given more as gifts at Christmas and birthday so would literally end up awash in the stuff. I'm slowly chipping away at the hand creams and bubble baths but the other stuff seems to be taking a lot longer.

    UU's
    schwartzkopf gliss conditioner WBA
    Nakd anti dandruff conditioner WBA
Aussie conditioning mask - WNBA did nothing for my hair.
Aldi anti dandruff shampoo WBA bargain, though think I prefer the Palmolive anti-dandruff shampoo.
Sunsilk dry shampoo - WBA, nice smell, no residue.
Dove purely pampering hand creme - WNBA convenient packaging, but not rich enough.
L'Occitane Verbena body lotion and shower gel - WNBA lotion not rich enough, gel too harsh for my skin, not worth the money.
Garnier vital restore night cream - WNBA, 'balled up' when rubbed in, though I think I have another stashed.
Perfume Parlour dupe of Bath and Bodyworks 'warm vanilla sugar' perfume - WMBA for winter months, had noticeably less staying power than other PP dupes, though still a good buy.

    IN
10 different products from this company, http://petalfresh.com/product-category/petal-fresh-botanicals/bought from 99p shop closing down. Vegan and cruelty free, and a bargain at the price :j, bought for my vegan DD's.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

    New thread for April here

Thought I would have a go as I've been on the thread over a year now and haven't tried to do one before. Thought I'd be helpful :) It was a nightmare on an iPad though as my iPad didn't want to cut and paste and was playing up but finally got there, please let me know if any problems! :)

VALM - I have MAC Patisserie too, it is the only MAC lipstick I have. I love the colour but don't think I would splash out on their lipstick again as L'oreal/Revlon etc is just as good.

    I have a uu

Morocconoil Moisture Repair Conditioner 70ml - this smells great and leaves my hair nicely conditioned but nothing that other, much cheaper brands can't do.

Now I have Revlon lipsticks and don't find them as creamy or moisturising as the MAC one. I also have a Tarte and a Marc Jacobs lippie which are equally creamy.
