Windows 10 bricked my all-in-one HP desktop

My HP laptop with Windows 7 is about 6 years old. I really don't want W10 as the laptop is working ok at the moment. If it went wrong, I would have no idea how to sort it out. I keep getting prompts to install and I ignore them. Will it eventually get forced on me? On reading your email, I doubt that my laptop is suitable for it.
I want to wait until I have to replace it before trying W10
Mine is HP G62
GWX control panel is a small piece of software which blocks Windows 10 prompts:

UPDATE:
After two months, HP has repaired it for FREE!!!
I've got it back yesterday!!! Needless to say, I've been told not to upgrade to Windows 10.
Thank you all for your suggestions and support!0 -

I'm not sure all manufacturers would have done that.0 -
I think the problem is that Win10 actually overrides the BIOS and disables the keys to access it, I have no idea how it can do this, but there are so many complaints about it that I cannot write it off as BS.
There are suspicions that MS are trying to stop people running dual-boot systems, either with old Windows versions or other OS.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Is Microsoft veering towards one of the biggest class actions ever? Think: VW in the USA.0
