Thanks for the advice Ionafan. It is just DD2 and I and the appointment is only an hour, so it will be a maximum of 6 dresses.

I have explained our situation and they have been brilliant.

DD2 is not a very decisive person, so this could be the first of a few trips.

  • Evening all,

House a pit due to busy week and a little bit of inaction from me when I did have some spare time (but really, you can't be doing stuff all the time, can you?)

But after the paid stuff today I have :

WM, DW, hoovered, dusted and mopped living room and stairs. Also dealt with major homework meltdown of doom. Not helped by the fact that dd2 (who is five) just sat down at the table straight after school, did two lots of spelling homework and wrote a little story for topic work in about half an hour. It took dd1 an hour and a half of complaining and crying to write three lines. Arggggh.

Also my little car needs new brakes (along with about five hundred other things) and I don't know if it's worth spending that much money on it. She is thirteen years old and not very well looked after (oops). Need to consider another car.

Anyway, cy very exciting and lovely. Also it is lovely to see you posting x
Also big hugs to lw and dusty xxx

Off to take delivery of Internet shopping. It should be here in the next ten minutes.

Yes, Mrs MP - we have looked online, read magazines and watched more episodes of Say Yes to the Dress than I ever thought possible.

She has a good idea of what she does and doesn't want. The only question to be resolved is whether her chosen style will suit her diminutive frame - 5'1". Size 8 wringing wet.

How lovely! But be warned - it is very tiring for everyone except the bride.

Not me. I was exhausted by the time my bridesmaids picked out my dress. They vetoed the one I wanted. :D

I looked like a whale at my first fitting. But once I'd lost 3 stone it looked great. I'm glad that I had the willpower or it would have been horrific:rotfl:

Hugs to all, especially CY, LW and Dusty.

Did assessment this am after remembering to put casserole in slow cooker.
Collected Mum from bus stop 3 mins after she arrived so good timing.
Busy chatting etc so only just got to reading emails - eek, several which need to be dealt with asap including one two days old which was in junk folder. Glad I spotted that though timing must be off as I definitely looked at emails yesterday.

Tomorrow Mum is having her Mother's Day pressie i.e. full body massage at my gym while I'm in Body Attack - who's got the best deal?
Then we need to go to Ald1 at some stage.
Today's pudding we only ate half of, so that's sorted.
Need to go to Stap1es to see if they can re-bind one of my assessment flip chart books as the spiral has come unravelled.
Hope I get a chance to do some report writing.
Auntie's funeral is 17th so I need to do a bit of diary juggling.
Go and fill in MFP now then bed.
    Night all.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

GP...... and she's given me the name of an online resource - apparently it's CBT based stuff, but without the need to actually deal with a counsellor......
I'm not sure about that LW. It takes five - six years part-time study (including a masters degree) plus 100s of hours practical to get a full licence up here to become a counsellor. If you want counselling I really think your GP should find one for you on the NHS.

Not much left to do this week, which is good as I want to go shopping the morrow. Just hope the weather's fair.

    Morning all

I should really be in the shower now so quick post. I had a really busy day yesterday and got loads done but there is always more to do.

Paid stuff this morning then I need to go and find things for mothers day. I have left it to the last minute because its so difficult - MIL has a big family so gets loads of flowers, plants, chocolates etc. I not a big fan of the idea of mothers day anyway!

    Right better shift myself!
