What a bummer
I'm sending you a hug to hopefully cheer you up a little.
How are your surveys going? Are you due any payments from any of them?

Sorry to hear you've hit a bumpy patch Popstess - definitely not easy when the kids are off. Good idea from 12 month about having DS friends round for a movie afternoon / evening, or perhaps a games tournament if his friends are into console games? Shame the weather isn't friendlier or I'd suggest something like a nature walk (beef it up boy style calling it a 'forest survival trek' or something suitably Bear Grylls - though I don't suggest eating bugs just yet) with sandwiches and hot choc (flask of) at the end?
Does DS like cooking at all? I know he's fussy with food but wondered if you had ingredients in for him to help bake / make dinner one night, you could pretend its a posh restaurant and have him serve like a posh waiter if he'd enjoy that?
Sorry to sound a bore but are all the bills etc covered until pay day and has DS dad given you £ to help support running the house for his son?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Thanks all, great ideas. He's a good lad to be honest and not demanding at all it's just a bit frustrating for me to not have a penny to spend on even the smallest of things0

Big hugs Popstess From personal experience I know its hard not to have two pennies to rub together when you want to treat your child - don't get me wrong, I do remember an appreciate lots of things my mum did manage to pay to send me on, but some of my best memories of being a kid are also spending time with friends, just being out and about playing on our bikes or skateboards etc, having tea with friends, going round each others houses and watching movies and lots of things that can be done for free.
Hang in there xxFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
