Hi Pops - just read your new diary; hadn't realised you'd started a new one. You are definitely sounding much more positive now.
Try posting a list of what you have in your cupboards on the Old Style board and some of the old stylers will help you plan some meals with what you have. Definitely worth a try.

Thanks Jodenise! Might give that a try x0 -
I struggle with meal planning too. Everyone here likes different things. One likes onions in their bolognaise, one doesnt. One likes hot chilli, one likes mild.
This is how it goes on. I don't think there is one meal that everyone actually likes all the same

Hello update from me...
8 days till pay day!
Sold a throw today for £14 so now on £42.50 but running out of ideas how to make any more money now 7 days into the challenge.
Popped out before and there was morrisons near by so had a nosey in a the yellow sticker bargains... Rubbish! Only got some asparagus 15p There was hardly anything i have no idea how people manage to practically live off yellow sticker food. If I hadn't been out that way anyway I would have spent more on petrol than the bargains I could get.0 -
Absolutely agree Pops. I can very rarely find anything I'd eat in the YS stuff! In my local SMs (which are a 16 mile round trip!) they only ever seem to have junk food which neither of us eat.

Hello, little update.... I'm still doing well on my grocery and making £5 a day challenge.
I'm still in the black woohoo and only 9 days till pay day.
I do have a night out this weekend which I will spend a little none on food and drinks but that will be taken out of my "fun money" budget. So no guilt! My challenge is not to spend any money on clothes for the night out my biggest weakness! I have plenty in my wardrobe so no reason to buy anything else. The reason I'm always tempted is because I hate my body I've put on a lot of weight and struggling to lose any again I have always ought new clothes to try and make myself feel better about myself. But I will not give in this time. I simply can't afford anything new so it's tough.
I have a few occasions coming up which I can't really decline important birthdays and new baby's that kind of thing so I just need to be really careful with my budget.
I'm trying really really hard but after years of living beyond my means it's very very difficult sticking to a tight budget.0 -
Hi Pops
You are doing so well. You are getting into the habit of watching the pennies and thinking about things before you spend.
It is so annoying I know but once [STRIKE]you[/STRIKE] we get there we will be so much happier

All pretty much the same at this end Pops. Still plugging away at work. Still looking for ways to save money and get this debt down.
This journey is one of the biggest missions I've ever taken on but I wont let it beat me.
I haven't really had much time to post as I have taken on some extra work but its extra money so I couldn't refuse. Its only temporary but beggars cant be choosers eh
Glad your challenges are going well
