Good afternoon NSD gang, busy clearing up after the St Patrick's Day bash, everyone looking green in the face either due to dodgy skin-staining beer or to a surfeit of shamrock vol au vents. Never mind, a drop of the Ennessdee Towers medicine will sort it!
(What, Igor? The medicine? Mrs Doyle's concoction of strong tea blended with turnip whiskey and infused with the scent of anchovy....cures colds, clears out the digestive system....And you can creosote your fence with it. Lovely!)One life - your life - live it!0 -
Should get a couple of NSDs this weekend as I am on night shifts.
Should.
Provided I leave OH a list of jobs to do as long as his arm so he has no time to think about spending money. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Days number 11 and 12/20 now! And five in a row! Chuffed as a chuffed person!
Won't make it to 6 in a row though as we're off to Edinburgh tomorrow for some shopping and a hot air balloon flight (if it still goes ahead!)No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Small spendy day today.
Went to 'St Martin's on the field' in London and heard Faure's Requiem as well as some pieces by Bach and Mozart (First time). Tickets were a good price, much cheaper than theatre tickets. Also visited a real ale pub nearby. An enjoyable.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Oh you are lucky!
I love Faures Requiem...I've seen it too in concert.

HI everyone! :hello:
Happy Saturday!0 -
number 5 NSD is now safely tucked in the Cauldron of Doom.
Now Igor and Chef are huddled at the kitchen table with loads of cookery books, what are they up to now?
Really, Mrs Doyle? Instead of buying everyone an Easter egg this year they are going to save money by making them?
Oh look, they've gone out to the shops to buy ingredients....quick, let's have a look at their notes.....One life - your life - live it!0 -
I see....they have all our names with a suggestion for an egg beside them....Mrs Doyle, yours is going to be chocolate and Earl Grey.......Fabio is getting caramel and Parmesan flavour.........Hubert is getting a piccalilli and banana frosted chocolate truffle egg......
Oh gawd! I don't envy marmite - I thought my candied coconut, beetroot and Gorgonzola egg was bad enough......One life - your life - live it!0 -

What pieces by Mozart?
Ave Verum Corpus was one of the three pieces by Mozart.
Favourite Bach piece played was Jesu, joy of man's desiring.
Will find out tomorrow if hubby still has the programme to remind myself of the other pieces.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Had a small spendy day today. Bought 2 special birthday cards and treated myself to two DVD's ( reduced and both for the same price as hubby's football ticket).
Also bought hubby a drink - for being such a extra special wonderful hubby over the past month.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons
