MPs debate transitional state pension arrangements for women

I've not been following these debates too closely, but i'm sure I understand we're talking about women being unhappy that their SPA's quickly increased, right?
What I'm not sure about is what they're hoping to achieve? Since the decision has been made, the legislation is in force, and many have already passed their original SPA - is it some sort of compensation they're looking for?0 -

The co-founders seem to want compensation back to age 60, either in the form of a lump sum or actual pension at age 60 for those still to get to age 60 - but only for 1950s women and no-one else.
This is why the campaign is getting nowhere as despite all the grandstanding from Labour/SNP MPs they have no intention of giving them that.0 -

Let's face it, anyone who cheers on more signatures to a Petition that's already been responded to, can't be the sharpest tool in the box.0 -
It also seems to give Waspi supporters a chance to say what option they would like to see happen as it doesn't look like the main "ask" is getting them anywhere.0

Did we (as a population) know about the increase in women's SPA before it happened? How long before? Seems too late now unless it really was lastminute dot com.0

First rise from 60 to 65 was announced in the Budget of 1993 so yes it was known about for a long, long time. Unless you're a Waspi supporter who has stuck their head in the sand that is.0 -
Yes, I keep thinking i'm missing something with this WASPI thing, but it really is just a bunch of moaning old women. typical.0

Note sure what disqualified me from giving opinions on options but I wasn't asked about them. Maybe it was something to do with being male or saying I was satisfied with the current situation so my views on other options aren't considered to matter by whoever set up the survey.
I do agree that the survey seemed reasonably balanced so although I'm curious about the sponsors it seemed worth while.0 -

I think you will find that many of the people posting who do not support WASPI are also "old women" moaning or otherwise. Misogyny does not add anything to this thread.0 -
Would WASPI detractors support giving only eighteen months' notice of abolishing the pension commencement tax free lump sum?0
