So let's stop debating her solid, good mothering actions and focus on defeating the scammers.
Well said, you are a wise man0 -

Quite right! :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Right. And the way to do that is the tried and trusted way as per the Newbies thread etc. The baby feeding comes under "mitigation" and we all know that mitigation does not work at POPLA if it came to that stage and certainly won't should IAS raise its ugly head.
So maybe worth a try with the PPC. Certainly worth trying but I am not swayed by the argument that there was no spare time to buy a ticket, and I am with lush walrush's sentiments.0 -

Easy its called modern technology, follow these easy steps
1 Get mobile phone out of handbag
2 Phone friend in restaurant
3 Ask them to put ticket on car
Easy and would have saved all this bother
Happy to help as always byee

Not so; Breastfeeding comes under the Equalities Act 2010 and is given special protection on par with blue badge holders.
Not making concessions for a breastfeeding mother is a violation of the act.0 -

Ah well Arthur, that might work on Mars, regret it's not an earthly thing, with this lady it is baby first and rightfully so and all good mothers would do the same0 -

Have you ever tried to phone someone from inside a car with a screaming baby? It's not possible. They are loud enough in an open space.
Why are you so adamant the women was in the wrong? I bet you'd do exactly the same thing.
Also, feeding a bottle-fed baby in a car is nearly impossible, I don't imagine breastfeeding is any better.0 -
Who is the PPC, and has a Notice to Keeper been recieved yet?0

I know you want to be on the side of the motorist - and I support the motorists against PPCs too - but show me one case where this argument has ever won either at POPLA or court.
There is a difference between the provisions that landowners have to make under equality legislation and parking. And in this case it isn't an overstay or some !!!! and bull contract contravention. The OP did not pay for her parking and it would stretch equality legislation to cover failing to pay.
The best bet is appealing to whatever better nature or goodwill either the restaurant or PPC have. Or, as I said, the tried and tested technical arguments.0 -

An interesting thought Dad but for the interests of others, show us what cases like this failed please0
