Breastfeeding and parking fine

Not a like for like comparison. Had 3 children myself, had them cry for food as all babies do but a 2 minute delay is not as potentially catastrophic as a 2 minute delay in finding a loo.
And to answer your question, on balance, I would prefer to use a loo rather than a pay machine to relieve myself.
Everyone does their own thing, this lady chose her option and at the end of the day, be it right or wrong, it is us against them (the PPC's)
Glad to see you would use a real loo though !!0 -

So if you were breastfeeding, why go anywhere?
Park the car and feed your child "on demand" in the car.

I agree with you.
I breast fed all of my daughters and if one was that desperate to feed I would absolutely have fed her in my car. If she wasn't so desperate to need to do that then yes I would have brought a ticket. It's one or the other surely?
It's women making breast feeding into a golden ticket that gives other mother's a bad name.0 -

I think that's not the case in the Equality Act in England/Wales but would be happy to shown otherwise; I haven't checked it recently and believe it comes under the maternity provisions within the sex discrimination section.
In Scotland it's stated as actually illegal to 'prevent' any mother feeding any age baby. So much stronger in wording than here in England.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And how would that prevent a parking ticket from a scammer, if she had fed the baby in the car first, rather than in the restaurant first? It's women making breast feeding into a golden ticket that gives other mother's a bad name.
Whoa!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did have to check, but if you look at page four of this link it does state specifically "no matter how old the baby is".
This would put the law in line with WHO recommendations, which say
"Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended up to 6 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to two years of age or beyond."0 -

Could you not have asked one of your friends that you were meeting for lunch to pop out and put a ticket on the car?0

All this talk of whether or not a ticket should have been bought ignores the OP's statement:I gave the ticket to the manager and was informed that it would be dealt with and I would get a call back from her later that day.0

Hind sight is a wonderful thing but does not reflect in that moment in time0 -
As the father of a daughter who is feeding my grandson I have seen the issuing with feeding recently. My daughter, for personal reasons, isn't comfortable feeding him in front of her mother, so would not do so in a public place. Like all good mothers she puts him first: just like the OP did. So let's stop debating her solid, good mothering actions and focus on defeating the scammers.0
