It's not silly, DWP are covering themselves, so that you have recently confirmed answers to all main questions again.donnajunkie wrote: »People sign fortnightly to declare there have been no changes. So why sign a letter saying the same thing. You are told when you claim that you must report any changes. There are other ways to check if a person is suspected of fraud. After all is a fraudster really going to fill this form in honestly anyway?
Did they find that many people were getting away with fraud and then decide that sending a letter to sign would solve it? Pretty silly if they did.
They are going over each question, reminding you, getting you to confirm each one (which they don't do at sign-on).
This is DWP legally covering themselves so you can't say I didn't know, I forgot, nobody reminded me etc.
They can do postal review or similiar telephone review, where they ask you all main questions over phone.0 -
saying i didnt know, i forgot etc would not be an acceptable excuse if you dont report a change. also why not make the form optional then if its just to remind you. as i said you are asked to report any changes when signing on. anyway, nevermind. i have now sent it off. It's not silly, DWP are covering themselves, so that you have recently confirmed answers to all main questions again.

ok, despite having sent the form back ages ago via signed for first class i have now today recieved another form from them and a letter claiming i never sent the form to them.
what should i do now? i still have the reciept i got from the post office and i have printed out the proof that they recieved it from the royal mail website.
when they purposely lose post do they look at it first or do they throw it away without even opening it? i ask because i am wondering if i sent the new form back with proof that i sent the previous form back that they might actually process it this time.0 -
This happened to me although with a different DWP form. I sent the second form with the proof of sending the first 'mislaid' one. It was dealt with within the week. So DWP must at least look at mail before they decide to keep it or chuck it.
Send another one enclosing a photocopy of your proof of posting the first.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. i went to the jobcentre and they booked me in to use one of their phones. i was on hold for over 25 minutes before i spoke to someone and i had somehow got through to the wrong section so she transferred me. i was waiting for yet another 25+ minutes before i spoke to someone. they just went through the form over the phone and marked on the system to not send another before 18th march 2017. i sign early next week so i will ask my adviser to check this has been done and perhaps print out proof for me.This happened to me although with a different DWP form.
