When people, at any time of the year, see snow and declare 'it's Christmas!'
NO!
No, it is not Christmas!
Christmas is a time of year, snow is weather, one does NOT mean the other!0 -
I hate hearing "whatever" and reading "lol".0

I hate the phrase "full time mummy" .
I hear this a lot when enquiring after mothers occupation, I work full time but am also a full time mother. I believe they should rephrase to "stay at home parent"!0 -
When I was at work, I hated meetings where people would say things like
'Hit the ground running'
'Blue sky thinking'
'Low hanging fruit'Early retired - 18th December 2014

Why do some people insist of saying "was like" or "goes" instead of the word said when they are discussing a conversation.
I also can't bear words like ginormous or humungus.Worrying won't stop bad stuff from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good.0 -

Oooh... Raw nerve touched...
I work beside a would-be raconteuse:
"So, ah sez tae him [snippet of conversation], ah sez - so ah done.
An' he goes [snippet of conversation].
An' ah wiz lik' 'at!!
An' ah went 'NAW!'.
An' he wiz lik' 'at .
An' then he goes [snippet of conversation] - aye, that's whit he went and said!
An' ah'm lik' 'at..."
I find that it irks me slightly. Partly because I can follow the entire story..

Another irritant is 'Y'alright?', used as a greeting.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

so I turned round to him and said xxx and he turned round to me and said xxx........
I was listening to someone tell a protracted tale in this way and somebody else said "if you both stopped bloody spinning round, you'd get to the end of the story a lot quicker".
