Words or phrases that annoy you

One of the ones that annoys me is people using 'shop' for shopping'; as in 'I'm doing a shop' for 'I'm going shopping'.
When my mother-in-law said she was going to do a shop, I had visions of her down there with my father-in-law's air rifle trying to empty the till. In my day, 'doing a shop' or 'doing a bank' would involve wearing stockings over your head and result in the police being called.
:rotfl::rotfl: When someone says that to me I respond, "What are you going to do to it?"
I loathe bad grammar, writing in abbreviations and bad spelling, one of my Facebook friends keeps updating her status with things like “haveing a great time”….it really annoys me.0 -

As for hypoallergenic, it's just a big word that means less than half of those tested (usually very few) had an allergic reaction. Advertising rubbish.0 -
Yesterday my friend referred to her OH as a floofy. Someone asked her what a floofy was and she replied with a pic of the both of them edited with the word floofy with hearst and arrows directed at him. She's 33.
Floofy! Seriously??0 -

You cannot over-estimate how much I detest people using "under-estimate" when they mean the exact opposite.
