  • In the same theme, when people refer to supermarkets as Mr T, Mr A or Aldee, sainsbobs etc. If you're talking about a glitch that might get uncovered if it happens to get searched for then fine I guess, but in normal conversation, why??

Can't say I ever hear people say any of the above. And I never hear Chazza shop either.

I've never heard them, but they're used a lot in certain areas of this forum!

People who drop their H in words irritate me. The use of the word Guy. I suppose slang is an irritation.

I haven't heard them used in conversation but a lot of people refer to 'chazza' shops' and L*dl etc on the Old-style board.

I even refuse to call Marks "M&S" and sometimes still refer to British Home Stores just to confuse youngsters.:D

I think there's a big difference between using 'Mr T', Aldee etc and M&S or BHS.

M&S and BHS are terms actually used by the companies themselves so surely must be accceptable.....

Also when people say I'll give 110% or I agree 110%

I 100% agree with that. In fact, I couldn't agree more.
  • 3 pet hates to add..

People using naff words like 'imbecilic' to try to sound smart, (and then sounding anything but smart...)

People trying to put other people down by calling the perfectly acceptable and normal terms they use 'childish' and 'infantile.'

Obnoxious people who hate to admit they are wrong.
