Money Moral Dilemma: Is it fair to redistribute my kids' cash equally?

When money is given to a struggling parent for expenses using child as a pretext for it it would be made clear "this is for little one's birthday, you know better what he needs , feel free to use it whichever way". Then it is fine to pay bills with it. When money is given specifically for child' savings it is not fine to do anything else with it , let alone put it into other child's account thinking that you know better. I think everybody would agree with it , people who seem to disagree are just talking about different things. The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -
I agree people are thinking about very different things - initially it hadn't even occured to me that £50 for Christmas would be a dilemma. Surely to qualify the question must have been about inheriting a house sort of money! But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

It depends on the reason.
If it is based on when an account/product comes to maturity, then no. If however it is because different amounts have been given (or none at all), then yes, I think redistribution is fair. This is what we have done due to petty squabbles by family members.0
