I've had a very similar experience to yours regarding eligibility dates and time for the switch to complete. I'm not sure why but there was initially a short delay in receiving a decision but it came through within a day by text and email. The Contactless Debit Mastercard arrived today (begins 5573 49 so presume it's a 'proper' card).
Looking forward to a cheeky £150, result
It's definitely a proper "Debit Card" so you can use it for Offline Transactions etc.
Am hoping I'll have met the criteria with the £150 incentive being credited sometime next week; not holding my breath though! It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Mastercard Debit is just a rebranded Maestro which was a merge of Switch debit card years ago into Mastercard Maestro.
Used one years and years ago Wespac bank AU.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Switched to an account with Clydesdale, completed 26 Jan, completed entirely online. Everything went very smoothly, didn't have to go into a branch at all. Received my £150 into the account 31 March.
I did think there'd be a hitch as I moved 3 months ago but they managed to find me!
Very happy0 -
I switched an unused basic Halifax account to Clydesdale on 24th March, and I haven't yet been able to set up internet banking which is a real pain. Everytime I try and register, I get an error message saying that the service is unavailable. I've made several calls to their helpline, and have been told that 'sometimes this happens' and they have no idea how long it will take to sort out the fault (which isn't a general fault, but only happens to a small number of customers randomly). I've tried registering using IE instead of Firefox, but that makes no difference.
In order to qualify for the switching bonus, I will need to transfer £1000 in the first 31 days, and again next month. Whilst I can transfer this in from another account, I was hoping to revolving-door the money back to the donor account fairly quickly and I can't do that without access to the internet banking facility. It's very frustrating! Has anyone else every had problems like this, or am I just unlucky?0 -

Thank you, YorkshireBoy. I had forgotten that I could withdraw real actual money (I am far too used to handling all my banking transactions online, I hardly use cash for anything any more!)
I've managed to set up telephone banking with Clydesdale okay, and apparently I can send money to different accounts using this method (although I haven't tried it yet). I'm just grumpy because the switch hasn't gone as smoothly as I had hoped - luckily I won't be using CB for my main account so I guess it doesn't matter unduly. This is my first attempt at switching-to-get-a-bonus and it has almost put me off.
But not quite0 -
Incentive paid in just over 2 months from the switch date (as described). Onto the next one0

My incentive paid today too (applied ~15th Feb).
Would move on to the next one, but all seems to have dried up at the moment...0 -

When you open an account you don't find out til it's too late that you have to apply for paying slips(up to 14 days via snail mail)
They also don't tell you til it's too late that you cannot transfer £1000 to another of my accounts til you have a security token(up to another 7 days via snail mail) apparently this is BT's fault??
They also don't tell you til it's too late that when transferring money out of your account that Friday,Saturday and Sunday count as 1 financial day??????
Can't wait to see what the next **** up is and to transfer back out!
Has anyone else found this? I haven't seen this in the terms and conditions. I'm just about to pay in my second £1000 and switching has been a pain so I'd like the incentive..0 -

For the other points, I presume that the other poster meant that paying slips were needed specifically for paying in funds over the counter in branch and I have no idea what they meant by the significance of a 'financial day' but the vast majority of banks treat weekends as non-working days.0
